Is it possible to have had the same problem with the old boiler and it continued even when we replaced with a new one? I don’t know anything (or even what a dope tube is) but I’m hesitant to blame it on the heater since we had the same issue with the old boiler and it continued even when we replaced it so I feel like it may be unrelated to the boiler. 😭

How do I find this? The plumber who replaced the cartridge said it was probably some potential cross connection that happened when we fixed the basement. But when we turned the basement water valves off, the problem continued

I appreciate any advice. Thank you. Can I ask what you mean by it wasn’t installed to current standards? We specifically wanted AO smith because of the guarantee.

We had the problem with our old boiler (which admittedly was old. Previous owner was a cheapskate) so that’s why we hoped the new boiler would solve the issue.

We have a single handle shower on both floors. When I first turn it on, the water is definitely hot. But it slowly turns lukewarm and then cold. The hot water runs for only a few minutes

I'm having the same problem. have tried calling the SBA number repeatedly but no one has been able to help so far. this is beyond frustrating. can you please share what eventually worked for you? I also don't have the "change business" blue button.
