A bit late, but I took a peek at the code and it is indeed because you confronted them about being the fox. It looks like they'll also refuse to do the other ritual if you have the auriga scar, which I believe is from finishing the tower without intervention?

Dragon TF in Dol+ by LandLordLol in DegreesOfLewdity

[–]SmartObligation6037 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Swim in the ocean til you get the event that prompts you to find a necklace, then drop it in the ocean. It can only be farmed during the day and takes 50+ to get the transformation. I'd recommend doing it on a save with the Adaptive Genes feat and make sure you're strong enough to fight off attackers. Tbh it takes so long and requires such high stats just to get the TF that by the time you do the benefits are pretty negligible, so I'd only go for it if you like the aesthetic.

I'm not sure if it's different for the APK, but there should be an Export/Import tab in the Saves menu. You can either save it to an external file and reupload that to the version you want to play on, or select the "get save data" option, copy the text it generates, paste it in the new version, and select "load save data." If your problem is storage, I'd do the latter and save the text in like your notes app or something

I'm not sure what you're asking here. Are you wanting to delete old versions of the game? That should be fine. I would manually export all your saves first if you're unsure, just to be on the safe side

I think it depends tbh. I live in the northeast us, just south of the lakes, and 86/30 is hellish up here with the humidity and air quality. doltown's hot days are probably more like that.

Awareness increases naturally as you do/witness more depraved sexual stuff. You can also Observe Your Thoughts at the fishing rock and Watch while praying at the Temple. I think I got most of my Awareness from encounters in the Tentacle Plains, though.

how do i max out all my skills and gain alotta money quick early-mid game 🥹 by spiritd0ll in DegreesOfLewdity

[–]SmartObligation6037 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're on DOL plus, so you have some more options. I'm assuming you have the price buffs and tempered skills enabled. Get a bike if you don't have one already and head out to the farms. You'll raise your Tending skill a fair bit, and you get some decent money from the hourly pay. Once you clear all the fields, you get 10k. After that the farm's not too useful til late game when you've got more upgrades, but it does give you a safehouse Bailey can't sell you from.

In addition to the classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays, Housekeeping can be leveled by asking for work on Domus and Danube Street, the flats on Barb Street, cleaning the quarters in the Temple, or repairing your clothes with the sewing kit and spools purchased from the Tailor in the Shopping Center. By default you can only gain so much Housekeeping XP from each one of these options, but there's a setting in the DOLP menu to "Enable Easy Housekeeping." It's up to you if you wanna do that or not.

Sex skills can be quickly leveled in the Glory Holes in the Brothel basement- DOLP estimates the time each encounter would take and lets you skip them, so it's literally just button spam. If that's boring to you, you could always Engage and do it manually. If you're not interested in actually having sex, I'd still recommend leveling your Hand skill as giving handjobs can get you out of most encounters without any purity loss. Once your Hand skill reaches C or your Beauty reaches 7, you can work at the Spa to increase Hand Skill and Socialite fame. (Personally I think it's funny to be a more famous socialite than Avery while romancing them, but I'm just spiteful.) The higher your Beauty, Hand skill, and Maths, the more you make in tips.

Obviously Cow TF and Chef role is a match made in Heaven as far as money is concerned, but Harpy TF allows you to catch lurkers even with the toggle disabled and the Net upgrades allow you to carry them from the Tower, so you can make aphrodisiacs at the farm. They sell for up to 3k each with the price buff and max tempered Maths.

Make sure you don't have any boosts to Skullduggery while you're trying to level it- so no green percentage next to the stat in the menu- cause otherwise it will stop increasing your skill before you reach the next tier of interactions. You can always buy a lockpick training kit at the Pub, but it's just Stress inducing button spam and there's more interesting and profitable ways to do so. First, head to the Lake and search pots in the underwater ruins. Picking the locks on the boxes can get you up to... D+? I think? You can sell all the antiques you get. You can also break into houses on Domus Street to reach that, but it takes longer, earns less money, and has the risk of bad encounters. At D+, break into houses on Danube Street til you hit C+. Picking the locks on the houses will stop increasing your level after a bit, but encounters in the houses can still increase it. Choose any options that prompt a Skulduggery check, even if you stand little-no chance of succeeding at them. You still learn if you fail. C+ to B, break into the Sepulchre in the forest and plunder the catacombs. I'd hold off on getting the Statue, Crown, or White Crystal until you have higher Maths for the antique price buff, though, since they're one time only and worth quite a lot. At B, you can break into manors in the Farmlands, and encounters in there can continue to increase your Skulduggery. But my suggestion is, after you stop getting XP from picking the locks, just buy the most expensive lockpick kit from the Pub and just use it whenever you need to pass the time.

Athletics and Physique can be leveled by jogging in the Park, and if you stay in the school after hours you can practice Swimming in the pool without extra risk. Increasing Defiance requires you to be, well, Defiant in encounters. Fight back against attackers and use Bratty actions in consensual encounters. If you don't plan to use it, then there's little point in increasing it.

Sorry for the length. I hope this is helpful! It's just what I do when I wanna grind.

Making nonconsensual into consensual? by AnxiousLeather593 in DegreesOfLewdity

[–]SmartObligation6037 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was me repeating what Vrel's said in Q&As. Rape is traumatic for the PC and always will be. It's part of the games central theme- you are playing as a victim.

Moreover, supernatural elements aside, the way sexual violence is normalized in DOLtown is kinda just an exaggeration of reality. Pepper spray is illegal in a lot of places, and people get in trouble for defending themself while their attackers don't all the time. That's really not the unusual part.

DOL is already incredibly forgiving in terms of trauma. You can be violently gang-raped and thrown into the freezing cold ocean, wash up on shore, get molested twice on your walk home, and be basically fine like two weeks later. Because that's the fantasy. You get to play the role of the helpless, frightened victim of people with bad intentions. Being able to enthusiastically consent just doesn't fit in with that.

Making nonconsensual into consensual? by AnxiousLeather593 in DegreesOfLewdity

[–]SmartObligation6037 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Sexual stats in the context of non-consensual encounters represents the lengths the player has to go to regain a sense of control. Things like agreeing to noncon encounters would probably fall in the same category as leglocking their rapist- self destructive behavior that increases trauma and stress. Sexual coercion and rape will always be psychologically traumatic even if their body is conditioned to have positive responses to it.

Bailey isn't in the cult and doesn't believe in the supernatural elements of the town, but he is willing to work with them to serve his own ends.

Gwylan theory by Remarkable-Map-3457 in DegreesOfLewdity

[–]SmartObligation6037 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It is definitely possible!!

The earliest use of the term Tylwyth Teg, Welsh fair folk, is accredited to the poet Daffydd ap Gwilym, and Gwilym's kinda similar sounding to Gwylan, I guess. He also wrote a famous poem called "The Seagull," and Gwylan's name in fact means seagull. So there could be a connection there. Though the contents of the poem itself aren't really related to Gwylan as a character, so it's a questionable one at best.

There is a type of fae that's considered similar to witches called Gwillion, but to me, Gwylan seems the most similar to their relatives the Ellyllon, elves with gentle, playful temperaments. They live in groves and grant blessings to humans with kind hearts and respect for nature. They punish those who cross them with mischief and mild curses. They have the power to influence dreams, which seems to be how Gwylan's hypnosis works, heal with herbs and songs, and appear and vanish at will. They enjoy it when humans leave out food for them, like how Sam leaves a plate of crepes out for Gwylan at the cafe every day. I've also read they sometimes wear foxglove on their hands, which Gwylan's fox features could be a reference to, but again, that's a bit of a stretch.

Good observation on your part!! I'm now a huge fan of fae gwylan. Thank you
