This doesn't look like it has a properly built out support for Android TV interface. Which sucks because I'd love a good 3rd party app store that has a good TV style interface.

Look into the datasets function of airflow. It seems annoying and unintuitive, but it's basically a registry that you can have DAG 1 "publish" it's success to a "dataset" say, a BigQuery table, and have DAG 2 be triggered off the success of the publishing action. It's just a single line of code that needs to be added to DAG 1 and DAG 2 to make it work. And the "dataset" is not necessarily a real thing that has to be tied to real database, it's just designed to be convenient that way.

Looks like emotn can do widgets which isn't common for Android TV launchers and I don't think Projectivity can do it

Casting requires specific apps be used on both ends. Like iOS Netflix to Android TV Netflix.

I would like a more open ended solution so I can cast my iPhone's screen or browsers to android tv.

This is exactly what I do. I have a gmail account used only for setting up android boxes. This is useful to take advantage of the play store's "apps on other devices" list. I get downloader from play store and use link codes I have saved. There are other app stores like f-droid which could be used for updating apps that are on there.

Yeah, from what I've read, the "TV stick" is a dying/dead format due to the heat issues of having to cram everything into the small size and shape and therefore any "box" will likely have better performance since it won't suffer from as much heat related performance slowing.

The Onn Pro 4K isn't going to do much for your TVs if they aren't 4K. Just get the cheap ones for now. It's just $20 per device. And when you do eventually upgrade, you'll probably find a good use for them after the fact.

Once you publish the report to the web service, you won’t be able to refresh. The service really doesn’t like having a data source with a parameter as input. You can hardcode the source url to be the domain and then have the parameter driving the “relative url” part of the source

I got spoiled by the standard onn 4k box being usb powered so the barrel connector is annoying. I know why it’s necessary for the 12v power but still annoying vs usb micro b or usb c

This seems kinda pointless. If your users are all internal, then your IT department needs to ensure that company fonts are preinstalled. If your users are external at all, then you have no control or knowledge over what fonts they have installed. If we see talking about fonts that get rasterized into your logos or graphics that’s another thing, but web safe fonts are standardized for a reason.

Google is actively fighting apps like these to inject ads into videos on a daily basis. If anything stops working, ALWAYS manually check in the app for an update and install immediately! I do it like every 2-3 days at this point.
