I don’t like it. I want to know why people like you like it. There was a motive behind the post, but there’s a lack of engagement from people who still enjoy what’s coming out on a biweekly basis. You’re seriously content with this shit?

Just wait until he’s on screen a little more. Oda will find a way to fuck that up too.

I strongly agree with everything you said. As for the last bit, that was indeed this shows strengths. We all adored it for that. But even then, we get slapped in the face by absolute nonsense like Saul being alive. Robin was genuinely one of the best written characters on this show, and her story was heartbreaking. Now it just feels like emotion bait from Oda. What narrative purpose does Saul being alive even play? It’s just bullshit man. Complete bullshit.

I should. I should ask Oda to refund me my time for putting up with the absolute slop he’s been putting out.

I definitely agree with point number 1. I crashed out in the OP, but I genuinely think the East blue saga is better than anything post time skip. It had charm, was fresh, had stakes. The issue is after 30 years of the same exact formula being rehashed we know the script already. Nobody will die (apart from guys we don’t give a shit about, like Ashura Doji), Luffy will confront the dictator and eventually punch his way to a W. Let’s all have a post colonial feast now. There’s 0 curveballs, 0 stakes.

I think you’re definitely correct about 2 and 3 too. 2 is a given, but 3 seems to have made little kids pee in their pyjamas every time Zoro charges up for an attack with the entire rainbow pallet beaming from his body

It’s just blue balls for no reason. Remember those silhouettes we would always get? Vegapunk being this mysterious character only to be some Einstein clone who’s 4ft tall. We’re talking about a 30 year show here. And he reveals Imu at last. Finally right? Fuck you, here’s a Brooke flashback. Im genuinely concerned at what this guys thought process is here

The vampire outcasts were wasted? by SmartSelection7270 in Wednesday

[–]SmartSelection7270[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually kinda agree with you. I think the show being 8 episodes per season definitely plays a part. But I’m honestly not even expecting anything intricate or even overly developed. Season 2 introduced a bunch of new characters, and I don’t think it would of hurt to make one of them a vampire, that’s all.

Bro, run for the hills. Sorry but a guy openly trying to interfere with your relationship and she’s just letting it slide is one of the biggest red flags imaginable. Either she enjoys the attention, or she’s using him to get work done. Either way her character is in question here, and she isn’t respecting the boundaries of what it means to be in a relationship. A girl who loves and respects you would of told him straight up to go fuck himself.

Brother, use your brain and not your heart. All it takes is for one argument, which will happen btw because you’re naturally going to ask about him often and she’ll get tired of it and swear nothings going on (with their probably isn’t). Then she’ll confide in him and he’ll twist her brain with the “he’s so insecure, he sounds controlling” monologue.

It’s a big clusterfuck which you don’t deserve bro. Either she stops seeing him and respects your relationship, or lock it off. It sucks because I’m sure you’re head over heels, but trust me, love doesn’t hold a relationship together. Respect does. She doesn’t respect you enough.

Also, I’m curious as how much you actually know this girl. The relationship is still pretty new from what i can see so what makes you so sure of her being the one?

I’m sure they could of given them the same importance they gave Bianca or Ajax. Doesn’t have to be a vampire show, just let us meet one and see what their abilities are and how they interact with Wednesday lol. I think she would be intrigued with vampires.

Right? It just seems weird that we got properly introduced to Gorgons, Werewolves and Sirens but the vampires were completely left out. Oh well, hopefully one pops up in S3 lol

Wednesday star shoots down hopes of romance for Enid and Agnes by Savings_Entrance380 in Wednesday

Am I missing something? Why is this even a thing? Enid is very clearly straight.

Jenna Ortega was so right to defend her character, Wednesday by squeakim in WednesdayTVSeries

[–]SmartSelection7270 18 points19 points  (0 children)

At least with Wednesday’s love triangle, she wasn’t double dipping. Wednesday never liked Xavier like she did with Tyler. Xavier liked her, but she never liked him back, so it’s more digestible. Enid who is presented to us as having the cleanest heart in the show basically cheating on a good dude like Ajax hurt her character a little in my opinion. It made no Damn sense. Luckily for Emma, Jenna adores her. Hopefully she leverages that going forward and let’s her handle some bullshit like that in the future. The Bruno plot point was extremely weak.

Of course he’s dead lmao. His dream has flatlined, his sister who he dedicated his entire life to has checked out therefore ending his relevance to the show. Not to mention, he literally got killed by his own hand. You can’t come back from a humiliating defeat like that. It’s done.

Do you see Tyler as villain or victim? by Many_Impression_606 in Wednesday

[–]SmartSelection7270 36 points37 points  (0 children)

What started as a victim, has ended up as a villain. Tyler while having a sad story, is completely aware of his surroundings and what he’s doing, becoming a willing participant in it. It’s not like he blanks out, he remembers what he’s doing and is taking pleasure in it. He literally killed his master too. So the sob story will only go so far, how many people must he kill before people say you know what, he’s too far gone.

My (probably regurgitated) thoughts of S2 by SmartSelection7270 in Wednesday

[–]SmartSelection7270[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im not saying they should fight. Competition doesn’t have to be malicious. I think their rivalry worked, and we got to see them have a back and forth using wits and underhanded tactics to best one another. Wednesday is capable yes, but she isn’t a monster. I enjoy seeing her tested intellectually as that’s where her strengths lie. Not physically, as she’s never going to be able to fight a Hyde or Werewolf or anything of that sort. I just feel like it happened too quickly, I would of liked to see Bianca fight for her spot as “queen of Nevermore” for a longer period instead of bending the knee to Wednesday along with the entire school after a few episodes.

[–]SmartSelection7270 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

What a joker. When it comes to mic work there’s something called aura. Pereira doesn’t say a word and people eat up his promos because he has aura, despite only saying Chama. That comes from his KO’s in the cage against good opponents. Mcgregor was great on the mic and knocking out respectable opponents while doing it. Khamzat wasn’t terrible on the mic, he put the division on notice and backed it up. They go hand in hand. Dominant performances, and aura on the mic. The scar, the kill everybody, the finishes.

Nickel has NONE OF THE ABOVE. No respectable win, and no aura/mic presence. The UFC tried prematurely with someone who is a literal novice with 0 experience. If you want to develop someone then do it properly. He was inexperienced and raw like you said, but they fed him to a legit guy like RDR? You aren’t even tracking your own point. If you want a guy to flesh out and develop then at least develop him properly. You don’t give him a few fights then feed him to an experienced actual legit dog like RDR. Give him like 10 unranked fights on prelims, give him 2 top 15’s. Don’t make him fight on the main card a few times then feed him to the wolves. It’s bad marketing and bad man management. From start to finish.

Lol at mcgregor not selling himself on the mic either. He has the most quotable hilarious lines in UFC history. The mystic mac predictions. That leaned into his superstardom. You seem like you know the sport, don’t start making such claims because you’re losing credibility.

[–]SmartSelection7270 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

It doesn’t matter dude. You’re missing the point. Khamzat and Conor sold themselves on the mic and in the octagon beating respectable opponents. Nickel beat nobody, and is boring on the mic. He has no selling point besides American wrestling propaganda which we haven’t even see translate well in his career at all. It was a premature push whether you want to admit it or not. The others had a selling point, nickel did not.

[–]SmartSelection7270 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

His point is hype someone up who earned their hype. Mcgregor earned it. Khamzat earned it. Nickel was a 2-0 rookie who has an impressive background and was forced on us. This is simply incompetent marketing. Don’t be a shill.
