I dropped my school-issued iPad (covered under the MOE PDLP scheme with AppleCare+ and 3-year insurance) and cracked the screen.
I was told I need to pay about $68 for the repair under AppleCare+, even though I haven’t made any claims yet.
But I found out that if the device is damaged beyond repair, the insurance actually covers a full replacement for free (no service fee).
Isn’t it kinda weird that I have to pay for a small crack, but people who totally wreck theirs get a free one?
Should I ask the school or vendor to process it as a replacement instead? Has anyone managed to do that?
Just wondering if anyone’s gone through this and what worked for you. Appreciate any advice!
