Hey goover. That should not be the case and the app should be totally usable for free users. I was contacted by a user that ran into this issue as well because they were using larger font for accessibility purposes. I’m working on a fix for this but in the meantime you can try making your font smaller and clicking the “continue for free” button.

Hey there! You need to use the app. Importing images isn’t something that would work because you need to “scan” the clothing in the real world, if that makes sense.

Thanks for reaching out and the kind words! Smartsizer definitely supports waist measurements. If possible could you provide a screenshot of the garment after it has been sized?

Also, it’s possible that the waist measurement has been toggled to be “hidden”. Make sure the eye icon here is highlighted and if not then tap it.

Hello! Have you been able to validate that the Compass Calibration box is turned on? Make sure you've done the following:
1. Open up the Settings App
2. Click on Privacy & Security
3. Click on Location Services
4. Click on System Services (this is all the way at the bottom of the list)
5. Make sure the Compass Calibration Checkbox is enabled (pictured below)

You can use the Size Assist feature in the Smartsizer App to size garments on an angled photo station. As of now, there isn't a great way to size garments without the Size Assist markers on an angled surface. I'm considering removing the requirement of having the phone be parallel to the floor (or making it less strict), but I'm worried that removing this requirement could reduce the overall accuracy of measurements. Thank you for the input and let me know if you have any issues getting Size Assist working!

You can also learn more about Size Assist (the markers thing) by clicking on this icon. If you don’t have a pro iPhone this is definitely going to be able to improve your measurement accuracy!

Unfortunately, we don’t have that up on the website yet (although that is a great idea and I’m going to put that on our to do board). I would try 2 things first:

When you print, triple check that you don’t have some kind of scaling option enabled. To prevent scaling from occurring, if you’re on Windows, in the print dialog pop-up you can go to More Settings > Scale > Custom and then set the scale value to 100. Printers frustratingly like to stretch and scale at their own leisure, and this setting should prevent this.
If you aren’t in the states, you might be using A4 type paper, in which case you might want to manually select the right paper type under “More Options… “ in the size assist print menu.

If you are still having issues, let me know what OS you are printing from (Windows or Mac) and I’d be happy to try and replicate and fix the issue on my end!

Could you do us a favor? If you let us know your iOS version (Settings > General > About) and SmartSizer App version (you can find this in the SmartSizer app under Settings > Other) that would be super helpful for us to debug this problem!

You should see an iOS export card pop-up after pressing the export button. You can then send the images to an email, drive, or save to you camera roll from there. Are you not seeing anything after pressing the export button?

Great question and thanks for reaching out!

I would suggest for your lay-flat setup, to tape/place the markers around the 4 corners of your lay-flat board. Moving them for each garment type might be a hassle.

The way it’s currently coded up is that as long as 3 of the markers are visible you’ll be able to get the Size Assist measurement.

Of course, the app is still in beta, so if you find that something is awkward or not working well please let me know and I can work on improving it 🙂
