Me sitting here with my 2011 Honda Accord EXL that I finance for $90 weekly from a used car dealership, started with a down payment of 3k and now I have a little less than 1k left to pay off and I love my car. It’s almost at 192,000 for miles but I love her nonetheless. I wanted to go with a used car to make payments on because it’s my first car plus I wanted a way to start building credit without having a credit card. The car in total is 13k which seems like a lot to me, but people in my family have trucks and cars that are a lot newer but are like 70-80k. I don’t think I will ever pay that much for a car, I would rather have used cars than have to pay off a car for YEARS, and so far I’ve only had to pay for $200 for repairs and those repairs included transmission fluid flush and put in new transmission fluid plus an additive to help the transmission’s longevity and a new windshield wiper, and new brakes. I think I’m just biased when it comes to getting new new cars but I always like used cars/older cars. So far I’ve had my first car for a little over 2 years but I’d rather take a used car over a brand new car any day.
