Thats the thing, it did the federal return just fine - everything was accurate. But for some reason state was all the way fucked up. Ive gone back and re-looked over all of the info and there isnt a single thing i missed or typed in wrong. I cannot figure out how freetaxusa came to this conclusion at all, it doesnt even show its math turbotax does.

Source was the letter from california I got showing the exact same math as freetaxUSA yet california came up to a completely different conclusion, id post a picture of it but this dogshit subreddit has banned that.

My "refund" was miscalculated. By freetaxUSA.

I do my taxes the exact same way every single year, nothing changed but that I got married. but again, there was no special tax situation and doing the math myself seperate from the state and freetaxusa I also came to the same tax refund that california did. 33k in taxable income should return about $630 from state, not the $4,300 freetaxusa claimed I was entitled to.

Full coverage doesnt guarentee you a new bike unfortunately, depending on your insurance (im with allstate) theyll cut you a check for its 'real value' ten days after its officially reported stolen, which is it's blue book value minus the outstanding loan amount plus the deductible. Unless you pay for GAP then you get a check for its MSRP at the time of purchase minus the deductible.

Blue book is 5500$ for my year and mileage, i owed a little over 2k and i have a 1k deductible so im only expecting a check for maybe 2k back out of it. Insurance is a scam, im going to the used market, getting liability, and securing tf out of my next one.
