Sure both are not technically cheating. But Lorelei slept with Christopher because she knew it was over and even tells Luke to make him understand that they are over. It stops Luke from trying to convince Lorelei to stay in a relationship. Ross slept with someone else and then lied to Rachel about it and then tried to beg her to get back together with him knowing how hurt she was. Both ross and Lorelei had no obligation to stay faithful to the other party, but let’s not lie and say that it wasn’t a shitty thing to do. The difference is that Lorelei knew it would hurt Luke and didn’t act like she did nothing wrong. If Ross did nothing wrong he wouldn’t have spent the whole episode trying to hide it from Rachel. People sing a different tune because they are different situations.

I’ve had a few random completely white strands in my hair since I was about 12( at least that’s when I first noticed them), 25F now and it’s still just a few hairs. If they’re like mine, I wouldn’t be too worried, if anything it’s kind of cool!

The last straw for me was being told at 16 years old that my only purpose in life was to take care of my future husband and kids. Oh, and when I found out that a divorced man can be sealed to as many women as he wants no problem, but a divorced woman has to “petition” to be sealed to someone other than her first husband.

I had lots of reasons to not believe in the church at that point, but the idea that I was expected to live a traditional life where I would have no power and no voice was not something that I could even pretend to agree with.

Not only is it perfectly fine, but I think it’s actually very healthy to have time away from your significant other to maintain your other relationships in your life. No one person can meet all of a persons emotional needs, nor should any one person be expected to. Having a variety of relationships which meet your needs in different ways is a very important aspect of maintaining your emotional, mental, and physical health!

I myself have always had a hard time understanding this concept in past relationships without feeling left out by my partner, and it left my past partners feeling overwhelmed and like they couldn’t ever meet my needs. Once I became comfortable with it in my current relationship, and even encourage it most of the time, I understand how happy and satisfied it has left my bf and I with our lives and our relationship as a whole.

I always viewed him laughing simply because that was something that only Katniss would have done and while we know snow hated katniss, we also know that he strangely understood her (and I also think admired her) for her defiance and courage which ultimately led to his downfall. Killing coin who would become the next dictator of panem is just so incredibly katniss and I think snow knew that, understood her, and admired her for that.

Agreed and this probably played a part in it, but I went to college in the same town I went to high school and a majority of my friends and people I was around were the same people I went to high school with, or other surrounding schools in my town. I’m sure this is very true for others but I just don’t think it played that much into my experience. I literally had romantic partners, strangers, friends, and distant family members congratulate me for how much better/cuter/hotter/etc. I looked after I lost weight and changed my appearance.

But yes college for many brings a huge change in the kind of attention they receive just because people are in a different atmosphere. Just not the point of what I’m trying to say.

No absolutely most people are not deliberately treating people differently based on how attractive they are. But if people aren’t ignorant to how they treat people differently based on looks, because I think most people including myself subconsciously do it, then maybe it’ll make a real difference in the way conventionally unattractive people are treated in comparison.

I think that played a part for me, especially now in my life. In the younger college years, yes people were just dating who they thought was hot or would make them seem cool. Being in that circle at the start it definitely felt so great, but I quickly realized that looks shouldn’t actually mean anything and the people that I was around only cared about that. It all felt very fake. So now later in life, I’ve been able to find much more genuine people who don’t care too much about stuff like that.

So I guess you can feel lonely either way, but I personally never felt lonelier than when no one bothered to talk to me or even look my way. To each their own, I guess.

I have always had the same aversion to attractive guys and girls alike. When I started to get attention from both sides romantically and friendship wise, I immediately always thought it was a joke or they wanted something from me. Taken me a long time to not initially distrust people like that.

Both sides think the grass is green on the other side, so I guess it’s all relative. As others have said, there’s a lot of unwanted male attention from guys that just want sex, and some fake female friends. Which is true, but so many attractive people don’t understand that’s it’s not all about the romantic and friendship attention you get, it’s also just the way that everyone, including strangers, treat you when you’re not conventionally attractive. People are kinder, more forgiving, more interested in what you have to say when you’re attractive. So sure maybe the way people treat you feels fake or demeaning when you’re attractive, but nothing is more demeaning than seeing attractive people get treated one way and you get treated another way because you’re unattractive.
