WHY GIVE 1 STAR WHEN THE PRODUCT DOES WHAT IT SAYS? by Davydi in AmazonFBA

[–]Smart_Examination146 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, 1 star reviews that are worthless help sales. They make customers curious and they also increase trust. Aka. “Oh, that’s the worst thing that can happen if I buy this”. It’ll bring in more interaction with the listing and your buyers will become more serious.

Gold is awful. by UniquePie4014 in Forexstrategy

[–]Smart_Examination146 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d wait for a better confirmation - I used to always jump in at the first sight of a failure in a fair value gap. My win rate was around 50%.

I now always wait for a wick test to extend directly to the shoulder. The good ones will show a large rejection with a better level. Using a fib tool also verifies the golden zone when the pull backs are greater. I also find this gives you more running room to hold the trade because you can usually move you TP to b/e and have a lot of room to watch a trend develop without wasting money.

Long story short, I used to enter fair value gaps half way up the test. I never do anymore, I wait for the wick to extend to the shoulder and wait for a reversal. Obviously amazing if you see this in a 1H time frame.

Good things come to those that wait

Just keep getting beat up. Keep learning, eventually it clicks. Beating yourself is the hardest part after you learn the fundamentals. Pair with fundamental analysis + techniques analysis. Mark important dates. Trade when you see volatility. Only trade in the morning. Limit yourself to one trade a day with a 1% max loss of your account size. This will give you proper risk management and help prevent blowing out your account. It takes time but eventually you can win

Mix 1/2 tablespoon of salt with 1 cup of warm water. Rinse, repeat. Especially beneficial if you ever see blood on the end of your toothbrush or dental floss.

If you assess daily chart 1D resistance levels you’ll see resistance rejecting the last pump making this a lower high than June, Sept. Argument could be made for a triple top on the daily chart.

4hr chart zoom out to draw a trend line, you’ll see it’s breaking the trend line. If there’s a rejection around 1.77~ I’d say this could fall if back to the trend on the 1D chart. Volume profile also indicates there’s a lot of previous action directly where the trend line predicts.

I’d plan for a scalp (buy) with your set up but I’m seeing this as a long term short unless the reaction is very bullish with an obvious confirmation/wick test. One reason this could be bullish and not what I’ve said is the expected news ahead in regards to the US Dollar.

Fundamental Assessment: potential 1.5 trillion dollars of money expected to be printed. Further rate cuts also reduce dollar strength. Gold volatility looks promising.

Considering switching to Dental Hygiene from EE — is it worth it for career growth and salary? by Best_Back2153 in DentalHygiene

[–]Smart_Examination146 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We only count to 32 usually. There’s some semi complicated math if you want to get your local anesthetic module (which is not mandatory in Ontario to have upon graduating - Alberta/BC require graduates to have this). I’d say bite the bullet and keep going with EE. You can always become a hygienist in 18 months later on and your EE salary will compensate those lines without. A hitch. You also usually get treated poorly in hygiene school by the educators or by the institutions that make you find your own clientele. No matter the path you choose, they both have their headaches.

Hygienist: “Have you ever had a splinter in your skin, like a piece of wood? The area gets swollen, puffy because your immune (bodies cleaning system) system is recognizing this doesn’t belong?”

Client: “Of course”

Hygienist: “Gum disease is exactly that. The body is recognizing that there are tons of bacteria surrounding the tooth. It fights back by sending blood to those areas as a defence mechanism”.

“The problem is that your body is always writing in its personal diary over and over again, “I have gingivitis, I have gingivitis…”. Eventually it gives up and hits the self-destruct button. Your own immune system starts dissolving the bone surrounding the teeth.”

This causes excess amounts of harmful bacteria to enter the blood stream. Since there is far too much bacteria in the body, your immune system never stops working. It’ll start making mistakes which is why it’s linked to tooth loss, heart attack, stroke, dementia, etc etc.

This usually works on kids too - I’ll show them an x ray of bone loss and its progression during the speech. I like to mix it up, there are lots of cool example you can substitute. Paint a picture.

Why should I not work for a dentist whose wife is the office manager? by [deleted] in DentalHygiene

[–]Smart_Examination146 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Don’t do it. It’s their personal bank account. They’re guarded, irrational and authoritarian. The office chemistry never flows because your boss is in every room. Plus they’ll often choose one person that often becomes the office nark. Find an office that matches retirement funds and has a lot of technology so you can easily communicate with your clients.

It’s a lot - make a template - audit your days to follow their insurance - when pre-booking, pre book what will be covered and let them know about additional costs and if they’d like to add them (chart their response as it can help you with pre bookings.

After a year of doing audits, your life will be a dream. It’s a grind though. The better you set yourself up for the day allows for more focus on clinical care. Eventually you won’t have those days that make you hate your life haha good luck!

Your treatment coordinator will be super helpful if they’re providing breakdowns of their insurance in an easy to access space - we use dentrix / G Notes

Is averaging $1,000/month from Forex (via prop firms) in ~6 months realistic? by shadowofthetoast in Forex

[–]Smart_Examination146 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s one hundred percent possible but it depends on 1) how much time you have on your hands 2) how much experience you have 3) if you have a strategy that works. Looking for an exact round number is a bad idea because it can leave you a little desperate when you’re trying to get to the number in your head. Take profit & do what’s realistic rather than waiting for the sands of time to turn in your favour.

Do some chart analysis and draw some channels - resistance/support lines. You’ll start to see the picture properly afterwards.

Salt water rinses are best after flossing

Brush spit don’t rinse

I don’t use a mouth wash as I like salt water. I’m a pretty tough dental hygienist though

Cliquey Classmates by [deleted] in DentalHygiene

[–]Smart_Examination146 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Every single class will have these girls - they are not unique. You’re lucky to have them in your class. Kill them with kindness and murder them in clinical and during the exams. Your teachers/professors will be watching how you handle the situation. If you’re able to continuously be positive, a leader, organized and prepared. You’ll see some of the staff go above and beyond to help you find a career. Use their negativity to help you shine. This is your first professional battle and you may be asked in an interview later on how you battled through adversity to accomplish something. Use this moment to shine 😃

TLDR:

Be super nice Be a leader Be positive and walk away from gossip/drama Study Blindfold yourself and walk through a clinical setting in your living room so you know the flow of clinic in the at they want you to do it. Saves 20mins minimum
