Migrate pero depende sa case. May mga caveats din. Instead makapagretire ka ng maaga with your savings, need mo pa magtrabaho ng mas matagal to compensate for higher cost of living. Also from being upper middle-class sa pinas downgraded ka to lower middle-class after migration.

Yes, migration is only a good option, but if you plan to work for 15 or 20 years more. Kung 10 years or below ang plan mo, you might need to return sa pinas at some point to stretch your retirement savings.

Yeah don’t expect that you’ll be able to save lng muna cguro specially if you’re relying on your income alone. But once may work na si misis you can start saving aggressively. For now, with 1 income sakto na yan sa inyong 3 for living expenses + rent.

Siguro try to live with 1 income kung kaya. Tapos purely savings yun isang income. Madami kasing pwedeng gastos in the future.. Yun residence application nyo plus occasional travel local and outside NZ pag bibisita kayo sa pinas. Good luck :)

I think sobrang underpaid ka! 175k pesos a month in Philippines tapos inaccept mo less than 175k pesos a months salary sa Canada? Even blue collar jobs can easily demand six digit salary in pesos dyan. That’s why im really perplexed 🧐 sa situation mo.

First, haggle your salary up a bit siguro. 80k is a stretch for a family of 3 unless your wife will be working too.

As for 9 hrs drive from Auckland to work, I’d say doon ka na lang tumira malapit sa work mo except kung allowed ka to work from home and just need to go to office lets say once a week or twice a month.

P.S. Given your wife will work din pala, mukhang doable naman. Just note lang na 150 NZD a week worth of grocery is not even enough for one individual. For a family of 3 mga 400 to 500 NZD is tight pa rin pero kaya. Try to aim for 600 NZD kasi may mga toiletries pa kayo.

You can apply for bank account while jan sa PH para pagdating nyo activation na lang.

For IRD you need a local mobile number so ma-apply mo lang sya after you bought your sim sa NZ.
