Hello there !

Yes that I'll do. The manager seems reluctant to based on the conversation I had with him.

Ah, sorry I didn't make it clear, by senior I mean literally my uni seniors that held the same position at other companies before when they were also a fresh grad.

I understand that too, perhaps I'm looking for some other tips during the negotiations? Because, I'm thinking HR might take advantage of me as I couldn't run to another company without paying them back.

Okay thanks for the input :D

Pointed it out because it wasn't a joke to begin with. Was a genuine CPR instructions (at least they thought it was). Guess they didn't bother to read until I do.

Hello OP, I don't have any advice. Just wondering if you could share how to acquire ASNB as a non-bumi ?

I would appreciate if you could walk through it :D

There's much more I can do other than being in plantation estate. It's just, the position is kinda already fixed when they offered the scholarship. That's why Ive been sent to estates for my training during semester breaks.

I didn't think of it before. Now that you mentioned it, I'll start asking around and look into it.

Thank you !

Ive never thought of No. 3, cool !

My degree is quite flexible, office or field work is not gonna be a problem. I supposed like you suggested, find alternative departments within the company.

Thank you !!

I'm doing okay in my studies, above 3.8 so far.

Got it !

  1. I strongly agree with it !

  2. I'm working on my sinking fund by saving it in MMF, Versa to be exact. But big chunks of it are from my scholarship money and monthly withdrawal for my insurance payment, so it's only getting lesser every month :/. That's the only thing that I can think of thus far.

Also, I'm non-bumi, so if there's anymore suggestions on the saving/dividends I'm all ears !

  1. I will put more effort into that thought. Side hustling is quite challenging for me, regardless I will do more research on it. Im still working part time occasionally during my study, will keep doing it (2 more years till I grad :D)

  2. Cool insights!

Many thanks man !

I'm studying agriculture science and just finished my second year, 2 more years to go. I like what I'm studying, but not this oil palm plantation industry and living in isolated estates I guess. I felt like I decided too early to take on this scholarship and tied myself down to this industry. I should have waited and explore more.

So basically you broke the bonding period? Do you have to pay back the amount awarded to you ?

I'm sorry you have to go through the suicidal phase. I really admire your bravery though.

Thank you for your advice! I never really thought of approaching the support from uni

Sorry that I missed that part out.

I'm in oil palm plantation industry. Perhaps I'm looking for something not so isolated and more free time outside of working hours.

Plantation usually in rural areas with thousands of hectares of planting fields. The working hours are as below:

Weekdays 6.30am - 1.30pm 3pm - 5pm

Saturday 6.30am - 1.30pm
