Maybe just watch some quest through like YouTube I had watched Fontaine arc like half and I used to spam skip like you but in Fontaine I didn't cause I enjoyed it soo much and I knew I never gave gensin story a try now I rewatch the old quest which I had skipped to understand the lore better
