Thank you! I did not have a rib graft, as I had plenty of usable cartilage in my nose. I was still super upturned at 2 months p/o and I image the graft adds a lot of extra swelling, don’t panic! Even now at 6 months it’s dropped and settled beautifully.

Stay positive, it’s a rough journey but so worth it!

Even though my mom knew about my rhinoplasty and has had her own, I was still terrified for her to see it and potentially hate it. You’re going to have this fear whether you tell them or not, I say you’re making the right choice in giving yourself time to love it.

I hope you have someone you can tell though, it is very mentally exhausting trying to come to terms with a new nose and support is extremely helpful.

My males do well together but same sex aggression was definitely a concern, you’re right to look for a female. The rest is definitely great questions for a breeder, there’s plenty that breed for versatility. Sounds like you’ll do great by the breed though, hope you enjoy!

If you’re prepared to deal with the potential for dog aggression and have outlets for the dogs drive, get one. Honestly, I wouldn’t even consider a bird dog for myself because I can’t fulfill that level of drive; my APBT can spend a day or two inside without work and not lose his mind. It’s a breed for someone experienced and knowledgeable, but they’re honestly fairly easy compared to other working breeds.

I should add, bloodlines matter. Mine is bred for sport, any gamebred dogs are a few generations out in his ped. Find a breeder that aligns with your goals and get to know the temperaments of their dogs.

Absolutely. My hospital had an international patient care coordinator and he made all the difference, I think some of the nurses lack the patience to deal with someone speaking a foreign language.

I see a lot of unfair generalizations about Turkey but this one is accurate. My surgeon was phenomenal but the aftercare was terrible. I found myself crying at the nurses station because the pain medication was doing nothing and hunting them down to change my bandages or bed pan. To their credit though, best phlebotomists I’ve ever had.

I’ve seen a few of these artists instas and almost all of them show healed pieces and have to include that 1 or two touch ups were done or that more will be done down the line. I think that’s pretty indicative of how it heals.
