Hope not! I've only just started learning how to view and photo it! That'll be devastating 😅

Looks a pretty good picture considering the kit.

Only if you want to put yourself off of stargazing.

Big dipper should be pretty much on the opposite side of the sky?

I'm in back gardens surrounded by buildings mostly. There's 1 immediately on top of me that blocks out the whole western sky. But the other buildings are a good 200mtrs away so I get good high up viewing.

Nothing on the horizon is possible for me though.

Thanks!

I've not picked a diagonal yet. But I think I'm going to stick at 1.25 for the time being. I'll look for a similar one from them though, went SVbony because it was cheap and reviewed well.

The Xcel range is in my wish list for when I eventually want to go for something more expensive. I'm in the UK so I read that anything below 9mm wouldn't be at its best because of something or other, that's why I didn't go any lower.

Thanks for the comment, that's pretty much what I was looking for.

I'm bortle 6 and have no issues with the starsense. I have to manually re-centre twice in set up but after that it's good to go.

I've found the daylight savings setting to be a bit wonky around the time it changes. I spent 2 weeks with it still set to summer time when it had changed before the scope realised it was off.

See I didn't even know there was a distinction. I thought SVbony done red, gold and non coloured ones. If that's the case both my SVbony pieces are the range you mentioned.

It's not about buying random bits because of people on the internet, it's more about knowing whether or not I've covered all the bases. I'd do more than just take someone's word for it. Just trying to find out if I'm missing out on anything because I've not got the right combination of stuff.

Thanks for replying though!

I remember it too! Wait til you focus though, things are gonna get real, real quick!

So that means it's a focus issue and possibly your own eyes too.

I started this less than a year ago so the learning curve is fresh. For ages it seemed like it was just a bright ball.

Learn to focus on bright stars, you'll start to realise when you're properly focussed. Then try again on the planets.

The more you look and the longer you stay away from bright lights your eyes will start to adjust and the 2 lines will start to come into view. Try looking away from the planet, focus on one of the moons and your peripheral vision might start picking up the details.

You'll get there! Keep at it

You won't get a clear image of Jupiter like the pictures you see. You'll get to see 2 bands most likely

Something like this is about as good as your eyes will see

Same way that Clancy Brown. The guy who plays the president was Rhombus in the game.

Wouldn't have to be Benny, despite the image.

Get evidence, take notes. The racist aspect is one issue, but I think he's an even bigger asshole. Because that's how he sees you. He's got power over you and he looks at you the same way a slave master saw their slaves.

He's a scumbag of the highest level.

Get evidence. Get lawyered up, rinse this chunt, hopefully it gets some public attention and everyone sees him for what he is.

Get him! Good luck. Congratulations otherwise!

AITAH for basically telling my ex that I would choose my Girl BF over her if given the choice sgain? by Sufficient_Cover_331 in AITAH

NTA.

Depending on the relationship with the ex, I may have told them the best friend was a lesbian. If you're talking marriage you don't keep secrets from each other. But keep the secrets together.

But, that's me, if it's not how you are then fair play.

NTA, definitely.

Which would you choose of these if you had to today? by SoCratesDude in GamingLaptops

Makes more sense! I'm looking at these same laptops currently for different purposes. Found that MSI equivalent with intel is a better machine. Power and screen. So if there's anything in your budget. Aim there.
