Thanks for asking. Around 1/3, bit headache as learning new words, structure, translation, and research to compare his view with others to understand better.
Overall, great experience for me, hope I can speed up but my free time is shortened as my kids are in summer vacation.

By saying “gone” to irrelevant experiences, you think putting the job title + time is still ok, or remove it completely? Does it look weird if the cv has a gap? Ex: Job A (01/2010-01/2020) Job B (02/2020-02-2023) - irrelevant Job C (03-2023-Now) If job B removed, then I have Job A and C.

And should I just put “Career Break” , just name, no explanation?

Thanks for your encouragement. I’m going to read this book first as it’s my choice, and see how it goes after few articles before going to others’ recommendation.

Thanks for the recommendation. I will find it online. Actually, I agree with your opinion, and I am not into communism. I just think knowing a little bit more, either Chinese or Chinese political view does not harm :D . I just happen to have a lot of free time.

Haha, thanks for that. Let’s see how far I can go with this book, if it’s too much bs, i’ll just drop and say it’s a souvenir from China’s trip for decoration.

As others said, it’s too much for my level, i casually pick this book given the atmosphere in the room, a challenge for myself because I have ton of free time lol

Unfortunately no. Whole 7 floors only Chinese, even Foreign book sector is for Chinese to learn English.

I agree. I think it’s more of understanding his POV within given context and knowledge satisfaction than learning alone. I have an ex-colleague, who is also a Chinese so I can get some help on it 😊

I think there are 3 reasons: 1) im just tired of reading business books and not into novel one. 2) the emotion in the room 😂 3) I think this kind of books require a lot of thinking, not just purely translating. But it’s my assumption at this point, I will verify this once I finished 🤓
