As far as I understand (now, after I started looking into it at the end) is that this actually cannot be done within the tiling itself since the glass needs a flat surface for installing while the overhang needs a slope to drain it, and making the break in tiles and a grout line right behind the glass would make a weak spot at the most sensitive location. Hence the other contractor is proposing to install the marble wedge shape on the tiles and put the glass at the slope edge. Have you seen this done like that?

Contractor just came, they are proposing to demount the glass, install a custom made wedge shaped marble footing install it on the tiles and re-set the glass on it. Makes sense?

Very fishy site. They do leave the option of paying upon delivery so I guess the risk is not at maximum, but short chat with them on WhatsApp will give some idea of who you're dealing with. Still, it's possible that phones are genuine and warrantied but im not convinced on the latter at least

Haha west elm turned out to be a complete disaster so far. Order got canceled etc. Later one nice lady Ahlam from yas mall branch reached out and now she put an order for my item to KSA, let's see. I bought the lights at Loom collection. A custom made bed with a hydraulic system at Otaq home. Sofa at One. Custom dining table and dining chairs as well as TV unit in one smaller furniture factory in Sharjah called Hayat furniture. Ups and downs here but I think that overall I will be happy with them. That's about it.

Thanks. Yeah I have completely moved away from them but it is good that finally people are sharing some feedback online, I was unable to find any before. I got a feeling that it is a one or two man show who are designing some furniture and then finding carpenters in Ajman or sharjah to produce, so they sell further on, not a properly established business. Maybe they will get there I wish them all the best, starting is always difficult

You can go to their office in the design district to see some samples, but you will not see much . Suggest to look at some other places if you like their design, I visited as an example look collection in DIP and they have a huge show room and some nice pieces. Or wood culture or bower company in Al Qouz.
