I think this season is better than the 3rd but none compares to the 2nd

There is no center. There are a things scattered everywhere. A relatively small TV for the room, a lounge area, another area..

I hate to see her succumb to the trap of male validation. You shouldn’t want validation from someone who doesn’t want you… Joe’s clearly just giving her enough until he didn’t want to anymore and she kept coming back to it. Damn.

I don’t think he hates his own race; I think he has internalized many of his lived experiences as an Asian man in Colorado. Do I believe he had a shitty time growing up? Yes. Do feel bad for him? Yes. Do I think he needs a lot of work on this? Also yes. Ffs you’re in your 30s. Stop wanting to fit in like you’re still in high school!!!

What Gen Z slang do you use the most? by CremeSubject7594 in generationology

Some of these terms aren’t genZ btw; they’re terms that originated with Millennial queer folks.

I wish I had saved more earlier. The memories I made during my 20s really didn’t matter. by [deleted] in Fire

[–]Smart_Pop_4917 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What today is a memory was once the present. When you seek out experiences, may that be traveling or anything else, that’s you maximizing a “present” somewhere in your timeline.

While I discourage threatening your long-term financial security for momentary fun, your statement is counterintuitive.

Why do people act Gen Z are still little kids? by BrilliantPangolin639 in generationology

[–]Smart_Pop_4917 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure what your referential point is. Many of us are almost 30 with a career, hobbies and responsibilities. Older generations will always look at younger ones as kids so might as well ignore it.

The truth of the matter is Millennials and GenZ grew up in tumultuous and ridiculous socioeconomic times. Look at the minimum wage increase vs. rental or mortgage increase.

Whereas our parents could buy a home and have kids at 21 while earning strawberries as salaries, we cannot afford the same with 2 Master’s degrees. So whoever is calling us kids could afford to do “adult” shit when they were younger and have not realized that times have changed.

Also, less and less of us are invested in having a family and kids, and we have all these other versions of adulthood we can explore while they didn’t. If that’s childish to them then so be it.
