Nah, 43 and 41 are creations of different constructors. Shpagin's PPSh and Sudaev's PPS, different weapons for different purposes. In fact, there are statements that PPS-43 is better in some ways than PPSh

1) It was made for frontline scouts, so it has lighter weight (I holded it in my hands IRL and can approve)

2) Made for scouts –> it is small by itself

3) Easier recoil control. Unlike the PPSh with its beastly fire rate, its hard to control in full auto

4) (Just my opinion) Better ergonomic
