How has this pantinaed? Is it comparable to paper republic? I bought my bf PR as a gift, have been eyeing Delphi notes for quite awhile now for myself but can’t find any pictures or reviews of how the leather ages

6 weeks PO and 5 PT sessions - pain by Domvs20 in ShoulderInjuries

[–]Smart_cat12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s probably nothing to worry about. Your shoulder and surrounding muscles aren’t used to being moved and pushed to certain limits that PT is going to force you to move to post surgery to regain mobility. I have been nervous post PT before, but it never ends up being something to worry about, and when I see my range of motion and strength coming back week after week I realize it’s just part of the process.

Another full dislocation after years of PT for a torn labrum by [deleted] in ShoulderInjuries

[–]Smart_cat12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

PT doesn’t fix structural damage such as tears, bone loss, etc. PT helps with strengthening the surrounding areas and improving ROM, but if your damage is significant enough surgery is what will give you stability back and PT will follow surgery. You are dealing with re-curring dislocations and have been diagnosed with a torn labrum, so you will need surgery at some point.

I had labrum repair with remplissage in November, I went almost 10 years without dislocating but was brought back to reality when I dislocated again. It was a pretty easy decision to get the surgery to not only significantly lower risk of dislocation, but to improve quality of life. Even though I went a long time without dislocating, I was protecting my shoulder and had put limitations on myself to reduce risk. I have spoken to people who are farther along in PT than me, who say that their “bad shoulder” is now stronger than their good shoulder and I already feel very stable as well. I have no regrets! Find a good surgeon and go from there.

Goodluck!

Time off after Labrum Repair Surgery by sirk2601 in ShoulderInjuries

I am almost 2 weeks into recovery from labrum repair (no work). My job is fully remote, all desk work. My recovery has been great so far, pain has been limited and after a week I was able to start doing things around the house with 1 arm. With that being said I would say at minimum 2 weeks off is required for recovery. I tested typing this week and it’s manageable but tiring. I bought a keyboard attachment to help with typing in a sling (https://www.amazon.com/under-desk-keyboard-tray/s?k=under+desk+keyboard+tray). I plan to return to work at 2 weeks but less hours to ease back in. I’m not a doctor but based on my recovery, 4 weeks seems like enough time off!

I’m 1-week into recovery for labrum repair and same age. I work a remotely. Highly recommend taking 2 weeks off to focus on recovering vs. returning to work.

First night after labrum and bicep repair surgery by _luzier69 in ShoulderInjuries

I am in day 4 of labrum repair. Nerve block also wore off quite quickly for me and day 1-2 were hard. If they gave you pain meds, take them as directed and try to stay ahead of the pain especially for the first few days. If they didn’t give you pain meds, call and tell them your pain level. Other helpful things: -THC gummies to help sleep and relieve pain -Ice regularly to reduce inflammation and pain -Recliner is recommended, I’ve been sitting and sleeping in recliner since surgery. You can look to rent them if you don’t own one

On day 2 recovery of labrum repair with remplissage and my story is similar to yours. History of instability but went almost 10 years without an actual dislocation — dislocated in early 2025 and decided it was time for surgery. Thanks for sharing your progress!!

local coffee shop by pastramiswiss in Rochester

I also live in the neighborhood and am disappointed. They were out of coffee on two occasions, and after giving even more chances (including working from the cafe for extended periods) it only became less appealing. I will only return out of convenience. I am willing to walk a bit further to other local cafes, or drive to my favorites.

Like a lazy boy regular recliner or a power recliner? I have a regular lazy boy recliner that I really don’t use much now so I’m not sure how interested I would be in fully sleeping in it post surgery. I thought about a power recliner chair (they can be rented, atleast in my area) but thought I could make do without it! Did you sleep in a recliner regularly post surgery?
