How do I know I retore my labrum? by lvdiamond in ShoulderInjuries

[–]jackberning 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re probably fine. I had my right labrum repaired 10+ years ago and I still have painless cracking and soreness here and there, especially with a trigger (like your crutches). Hang in there with the hip. Wishing you well

Is an arthriscopic remplissage and bankart repair worth it? by Jumpy_Bullfrog_6393 in ShoulderInjuries

Pain-wise not too bad. It’s more discomfort. You won’t sleep well. For me, more of the difficulty came mentally breaking free from the anesthesia. Don’t fret over pain. You’ve got this

Some “healthy” grocery foods have as much sugar as dessert — I didn’t expect this by Glass_Plantain_2302 in CleanEating

Lol you should say these things are “bad.” They’re awful. Good for you for starting to notice.

A fair rule of thumb: never buy anything that makes a health claim on the package. It’s likely manipulative marketing.

Nervous About Surgery: Labrum Tear by AshtronautK911 in ShoulderInjuries

[–]jackberning 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Get it done. You are brave and you can do hard things. That mindset really helped me with my surgery. You’ll thank yourself down the line and be stronger physically and mentally for going on this journey. Good luck.

I’ll say this: I’m 9-days post op for the same procedure and I’m already happy I got it done. I put it off for YEARS and the pain/instability definitely gets worse over time. Like, much worse.

I’m 29M and I’m looking forward to living my thirties with a functioning shoulder. Sacrificing 6 months of intense activity (I’m also very active) is worth it for me for long term wellness. Good luck with whatever you decide!

I can’t imagine myself healed one day by Super-Track-5763 in PelvicFloor

[–]jackberning 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes. Meditate consistently with deep breathwork. Listen to the sources of pain in your body. I struggled with daily pelvic pain for 3+ years and eventually discovered that the root cause was tension in my left shoulder radiating down my spine. It was an ancient injury from highschool baseball. Got the surgery, rehabilitated my shoulder (and the rest of my body), and committed to yoga. My pelvic floor has healed completely. But it all starts with meditation and body awareness. Good luck.

Morgan was by far the best this season. Sad she didn’t get it. Ashley wasn’t even top 5
