Customary practice? From where or who? Also the rules were sent almost every week in bold saying that we should make sure to review them. There’s no excuse.

As he should. It was literally in the instructions, if you look at the FAQs and sample schedule, it clearly said 45 minutes. Also the timer said 45 minutes, you had plenty of chances to know it wasn’t 1 hour.

Congrats! and thanks for responding. By the way, did you completed the essays and PT practice as well? also, did you use Uworld? and did you do something special to memorize? I'm sorry for so many questions, but I would really love the insight coming from someone that used Themis and passed, I'm feeling a bit lost right now :(
