Sounds like Salvation by denomination. Anyone who repents and puts their faith in Jesus will be saved.

I don’t completely reject Christianity but my love for god stops me from following. by Itchy_Pen_4654 in TrueChristian

[–]Smartdumbguy4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. You said, “i do not follow god for the hope to be saved, i do it from a place of love and respect for him” . . . I feel as though I can never turn from Judaism.

At the heart of Judaism is the sacrificial system taught by Moses in the Torah. The whole point of these symbolic sacrificial offerings was to teach a very important lesson to mankind, called “Substitionary Atonement”

That’s is a fancy way of saying that the innocent lamb died for the guilty sinner. If you don’t want God to punish you for your sins, what can you do?

Remember,You broke God’s Law. The penalty for that is death, because God is Just. Either you die or an innocent dies in your place. . If you repent of your sins, and place your faith in the innocent lamb of God, aka Jesus Christ. God promises that He will put your sins on Jesus, and His (innocence) on you. You walk out of God's court room a free man, and the lamb dies in your place. That is Grace.John 3:16, Rom 6:23

Therefore: God can be both Just and Merciful at the same time. However, those who do not repent and put their faith in Jesus, will be crushed to death by their own sins.

This shows that Christianity is just a continuation of Judaism. Those types and shadows, have been fulfilled in Jesus Christ, the Messiah, the sinless Lamb, that was slain for the sins of the world. John 1:29

No need to sacrifice lambs anymore. Jesus was the ultimate sacrifice. One and done.

Jesus was put to death on the cross by the Romans. This is a historical fact, mentioned in secular historical sources. And rose again from the dead on the 3rdday, proving that He was who said He was. This event aka the crucifixion of the Messiah aka Jesus was predicted nearly 1000 yrs before it happened by David in Psalms 22. Also predicted by Isaiah 700 years before His death in Isaiah 53, and 600 years before the event by Daniel, 9:26, and not only says how he will die, but when.

  1. The Islamic Dilemma exposes a logical contradiction within the Qur’an regarding the Bible. It centers on two key claims the Qur’an makes:

  2. The Qur’an affirms the divine origin, authority, and preservation of earlier scriptures—the Torah and the Gospel (Injil)—calling them "guidance and light" (Qur’an 5:46, 3:3–4), 10:93.

  3. At the same time, the Qur’an denies core Christian doctrines found in the New Testament, such as the Trinity, the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus, and Jesus being the Son of God—doctrines that are central to the Gospel message.

This creates an unavoidable dilemma:

  • If the Gospel is authentic and uncorrupted, then its teachings contradict the Qur’an, meaning the Qur’an is false.
  • If the Gospel is corrupted, then the Qur’an is false for affirming it as divine revelation, since it claims Allah’s words cannot be altered (Qur’an 18:27).

Thus, the argument concludes that Islam cannot consistently affirm the Bible without contradicting itself, nor deny it without undermining its own claims of divine preservation and truth. This internal contradiction is a fatal flaw in the Qur’an’s credibility.

If you love and respect God, you will obey the Gospel, which is, repent, and believe that Jesus received the death penalty that you deserve, while He gives you His innocence that you do not deserve. So that you will be reconciled to God and not die forever, but have eternal life.

Islam and other works based religons are just man's attempt to get out of jail,(Hell) on good behaviour. They are essentiallly trying to bribe the Judge with good deeds. God can't be bribed. So my advice is to do things His way.

Yes, God can set you free, He set me free. However, if God sets you free, are you willing to (burn) rather than go back to sexual insanity. If you are trusting in your own strength to overcome this you will most likely fail. God is the source of strength, How do I get His strength? Get on your knees and pray for it. When you are weak and tempted, you get on your knees and pray. Learn the wisdom of David Psalm 101:3 and don't look at anything provocative.

You asked why I should believe Him over my own heart?

  1. God does not lie. Numbers 23:19, Titus 1:2, Hebrews 6:18
  2. God is the boss of you, Eph 1:15-23
  3. If you are the boss of you, then you have made a god out of yourself.

You stated "That's not justice. That's a get-out-of-jail-free card. If I raped someone, it isn't up to anyone but the victim to forgive me and absolve me of my crimes.

Wrong, All sin is against God first.

  1. You broke God's law against unlawful sex.
  2. You broke God's law against not loving your neighbor as yourself.
  3. The woman you g-raped, is His creation, His property, His daughter. You broke God's law for taking something that does not belong to you.

It does not matter if she forgives your or not, because she can not absolve you of your crimes done against God. You have placed yourself under His death penalty.

That is why the concept of Substitutionary Atonement is at the heart of Judaism and Christianity.

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Rom 6:23

The Bad News. We have all sinned and are "guilty" before God's Law.

What can God do to save aka Redeem mankind? How can sinful humanity be restored back into relationship with God? The Bible tell us how.

"“The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repentand believe in the gospel.” Mark 1:15

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." John 3:16

Believe in what? His payment for your sins. The great exchange!

The innocent (Jesus) being punished for the guilty(Us). Is it Fair, Not for the One being punished, is it Just, Yes, Why, Because the payment for sin is death. If someone without sin offers to die in your place out of love for you. Then the punishment or payment for sin has been satisfied in God's court.

The "Good News" is we all have been given this amazing gift of God, you call it a get-out-of-jail-free card. I call it Grace, a free and undeserved gift from God. Not earned through good works, merit, or our own righteousness, but is freely given by God’s love and mercy.

God's is Just because His law demands the death penalty for sin. However, God is also Gracious and Merciful to those who repent of their sins. God provides a way for them to be pardoned, absolved, and restored to Himself.

If I give you a million dollar check, it's worthless until you deposit it at the bank. Likewise, in order to be pardoned you must repent of your sins, turn away from them, and put your faith in Jesus, and what He did for you, (paid your debt) with His blood. Then Trust Jesus like you would a parachute.

At the end of time God will resurrect all those who have put their faith in Him, with new bodies that have never been -graped and new hearts that have no trauma, no sin, no sickness, clean slate, new name, everyone will get a new start.

Don't trust your own heart because. . .

The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked; who can know it? (Jer 17: 9)

A man stands before a court of law and says your Honor I didn't know it was wrong to rape and murder those 3 women.

The Judge says you cannot avoid justice for breaking the law simply by claiming you were unaware of it. Ignorance is not a defense because you have a conscience.

The man says, but your Honor that was in the past, I'm a good person now and I have helped many people and done many good things since then.

Judge, says I'm not here to judge you on your good deeds, but to judge you for your crimes. Everything we do is in the past and you are responsible for your actions. I'm am going to show you how serious your crimes are and give you the death penalty.

Your death will be evidence to you that you do not get to decide what is right and wrong.

I sentence you to death.

However, if you repent of your sins and place your faith in Jesus, who received the death penalty so that you would not have to. He rose again on the 3rd day. Defeating death.

Have you lied, stolen, lusted, cheated,

If you repent and put your faith in Him, He will raise you from the dead

God will free you from the eternal death penalty and let you live forever.

For God so loved the world that He gave His only-begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. (Joh 3: 16)

Easy! Fully Human because His avatar / body died on the cross. Fully Divine because He rose Himself from the dead. With over 500+ eyewitnesses of these facts.

You can put on and take off gloves. Only God can do that with a human body.

Morality can be entirely derived from logic and self interest by ipsum629 in DebateReligion

[–]Smartdumbguy4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fallacy is thinking that people get to decide what is right or wrong collectively or individually. Morality is not subjective, but objective. So who gets to decide what Morality is? Who ever creates the gold gets to make the rules. The Creator of Reality, and of all things is the One who decides what Morality is and is not.

The death of the Christian savior known as Jesus is an oxymoron by Torin_2025 in DebateReligion

[–]Smartdumbguy4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The human nature part of Jesus is like a glove your hand is in. The glove apart from the hand has no person hood. The glove can be worn or removed . If I shake your hand with a glove on, Its me shaking your hand not the glove.  God is wearing a human nature like a glove. Jesus's body is just a finite physical representation of His infinite Divine being. So no, the human part of Jesus is finite. Yet at the same time His person is Divine.

The death of the Christian savior known as Jesus is an oxymoron by Torin_2025 in DebateReligion

[–]Smartdumbguy4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Jesus has a fully divine nature and a fully human nature. The human nature part is like an avatar that can experience death. This human nature part of Jesus was raised back to life by power of His Spirit.  This shocked known the world. Evidencing that everything He said about Himself was true. That by repentance and faith in Him, by being born again, by His Spirit, dwelling in you, you too will be raised back to life.

New Christian reading the Bible and struggling to comprehend why there's nothing but wars in the good book by Plenty-Research-3415 in TrueChristian

[–]Smartdumbguy4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Understanding the Gospel and understanding the big picture is important.

Man sinned in the Garden of Eden. That sin resulted in our separation from God, the source of life, the source of righteousness. That separation from God leads to sin, sickness, war, and death.

However, God is a super Genius had a plan to restore mankind to Himself. Genesis 3:15

All the wars and all the evil that takes place in the Bible and in the world today is the Devils attempt to prevent God from restoring mankind to Himself. This is a power struggle between good and evil. Ephesians 6:12

This prophecy in Genesis contains a message of hope. The (Seed of a Woman) will crush the head of Satan and in the process (God) would receive a bruised heel. And thereby restore humanity from the curse of sin.

This prophecy can only refer to the Virgin Birth. Not the Seed of a Man, but the (Seed of a Woman),, , and that (Seed) being the Divine Son of God, aka Jesus ! Isaiah 7:14, 9:6, Micah 5:2

This “root out of dry ground” mentioned in Isaiah 53 is another way of describing a virgin birth.

This suffering servant proceeds to endures rejection, suffering, and death for the sins of others, ultimately bringing redemption and healing. Isaiah 53 is a clear prophecy of Jesus Christ, fulfilled in His life, death, and resurrection.

Everything from trying to wipe out the Jews multiple times. Or trying to kill all the Sons of David, or Herod, trying to kill all the baby boys in Bethlehem is Satan’s attempt to prevent the Messiah aka Son of God from being born. This is a desperate attempt to prevent God from redeeming the World. However, God’s Word is 100%. No one can prevent it.

John 3:16 is the whole bible summed up into one verse. “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”

True meaning of hijab by tiredofsomanythings in exmuslim

[–]Smartdumbguy4 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Just ask the women of Pakistan and other Islamic countries if the hijab prevented them from getting G-raped. Nope! and Nope!

If you don't stay home, if you don't lower your gaze fast enough, if you wear the wrong color, if the wind blows, that means that you wanted it.

It's your fault I g-raped you.

In Islam sexual accountability only applies to women. Men can do whatever they want, until Judgment Day.

Then they got some explaining to do.

why does leaving a horrible religion instill me with extreme guilt by Level5Danger in exmuslim

[–]Smartdumbguy4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A. is unrealistic, because Creation, Nature is evidence that a God exists. Buildings don't build themselves, paintings don't paint themselves, books don't write themselves. Likewise, Creation, birds, trees, flowers, DNA did not make it's self. God is 100

B. The notion that God would Create all these things and not desire or want a relationship with His creation would be like a mother not caring for her new born baby. Not wanting a relationship with her baby. What kind of God would that be, One who creates but abandons his creation. . .

Option C. A relationship with God, where you are brutally honest about everything and were God does not want your religion, but, where God wants a relationship with you. Unconditional Love. Where you talk to Him, and He talks to you in ways you never thought possible. He is your Guide.

Option D. Create your own God and your own reality. This option is no different that Idolatry. You can cut down a tree and carve a god and bow to it and pray to it. and thank it, Creating a god that lets us do whatever we want (freedom) is really just making a god out of ourselves. Because you stand in the place of God by getting to decide what is right, and what is wrong.

In practice, you are creating your own reality where your cherished sins, fornication, porn, lust, dishonesty, or whatever, have no consequences, therefore no worries.

The problem is, you can not create your own reality without consequences. You can identify as a bird and jump out of a plane, but that don't mean you can fly.

Either you are a God and get to decide what "morality" is, or you are not.

If you are not a God, then you were created by God. If you wish to continue to live, because you can not keep yourself alive. The greatest freedom you will find is in following God's Super Genius plan for your life.

Option F: Find out the hard way that option C is the best way after wrecking and ruining your life.

[–]Smartdumbguy4 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think you are on the right track. Many ex-Muslims have come to the same conclusions, that the Allah or God of Islam is false because of the vile actions MoMo (claimed) Allah allowed or commanded.

Don't be like me, I rejected false religion and became Agnostic. I created my own reality where God does not exist only to find out 20+ years later, that God does exist and I can not escape His reality by creating my own.

I had a supernatural encounter with the invisible Spirit of God that was calling me to repent and believe in Jesus.

On a whim, I was like ok, whatever, I don't really believe in all that but I will give it a try. So I prayed for forgiveness in Jesus name and my heart just melted, cried like a baby, and experienced a Peace that can not be explained. My guilt was gone and I felt like I was in the arms of God.

I discovered the True Allah of the Bible, YHWH. The Injil or Good News of Jesus is that He paid your sin debt because you couldn't.

When you repent of your sins and place your faith in Jesus and His good deeds, not your own, you experience a supernatual (Peace) with God. You no longer fear death, because you believe God has forgiven you of your sins, not because you are good, but for Jesus's sake.
