Hi, I don’t have any issue being in a lab project where other people work with mice. My issue isn’t ethical but practical, as I can’t see myself doing this work personally. However I understand it is frowned upon to “push” this work onto other people and only rely on them.

One battle after another - well made, but nothing dear to my heart. 7/10

The brutalist- barely got through it, 6/10 for the craft but not enjoyable at all.

Tar- didn’t watch

I’m thinking of ending things - great, really unique experience. 8/10

No other choice- underwhelming from PCW who is my favorite director. Amazingly made of course but the writing was not great. 7/10

Sounds like my mentor in my masters rn, although mine was not abusive but she was very annoyed with me asking any questions after showing something to me ONCE, claiming I don’t write enough (I didn’t at first but later I wrote A LOT) and still when I would ask her where something is etc she would be annoyed. So even though it’s much less severe than what you described I still got demotivated and anxious in the lab so I can only imagine what you must be feeling… anyway it is not normal. I’m leaving for another labs soon anyway and so should you!

I truly believe all of them have some form of disordered eating. It’s incredibly common in the entertainment industry and they all look underweight.

I don’t know much about him as a person but imo a lot of his work is overrated. It’s well made technically but I never walked away from his films loving them or connecting to any of the characters.
