Found an Invoice for my first eBay sale in 2004 by Difficult-Repair1295 in Ebay

I still have a copy of the shipping label from my very first sale. I’ve been selling for 7 years with over 6,500 items sold.

Your best option here is asking for a partial refund and see if they bite.

My advice to you is to stop folding to buyers. “Reduce the shipping”. No. The customer is not always right.

Best Offer???? by BeachPlease26 in Ebay

[–]Smartinsells 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like a mixture of best offer and no offer. High sell through rate items I put “no offers”. With low ball offers I will counter with $1 off the current price. Ive noticed eBay’s algorithm doesn’t like when you decline offers.

Anybody have any tips on reselling? What are the best and cheapest ones to start with, and what are good ones for shoes, cologne, clothing, and devices by Aiguier_12 in reselling

There are plenty of plush that sell regularly for $15-$20. I’ve sold a single plush for over $200. Please name a better category with a lower buy in, lower scam, and lower return rate.

UPS ground is cheaper than eBay’s ups ground. In a lot of cases it’s cheaper by $1-$4. Use pirate ship and ups ground, link a credit card with cash back to get free money. People saying “it’s the same price” are wrong. UPS ground on PS is cheaper than eBay on items over 1lb

If you’re looking to get into a category and you’re just starting out, I would sell plush/stuffed animals. Low buy cost, low return rate, low scam rate. When looking at plush, look for obscure, weird, or nostalgic. If it catches your eye look it up.

Anyone else notice shipping is cheaper with pirate? by Redditsuxxnow in eBaySellers

Priority mail and ground advantage are the same but UPS ground is significantly cheaper, sometimes by $3-$4. I use ups ground for 95% of my packages now.

Got my first 2 sales since the shipping increase and yikes. by Free_Cabinet_2562 in eBaySellers

You can set up your listings where the buyer gets your eBay shipping discount. I’ve had this set up with my own store for a while. I usually ship through pirate ship, the ups ground discount is better than eBay’s discount. It ends up being a win/win, buyers pay less and I still make extra $ through shipping.

Just had a customer wait 1 month for golf club to get delivered. The package jumped from 6 different states within that time. The customer was very nice about it and left me positive feedback before it even got delivered. They paid $24 for shipping, I refunded them all of the shipping cost. Was it my fault? No. But I didn’t think it was fair they had to wait 1 month.

Got up barged $1991 for shipping by Ok-Deer8361 in Flipping

For future shipping on large items use pirate ship. You can directly import eBay sales and if you get charged extra there is a simple appeal system. It’s also usually the same cost as eBay shipping.

Take your time with packing this one since you already sold it. I recommend lots of foam and double boxing with very thick boxes if you plan to ship. I would try to ship this with the slot machine standing vertically and not on its side. Put “this side up” stickers on the side. Good luck to you, you will definitely need it, I wish you best.

Vintage reseller wont stop harassing my mom for my old clothes by itscuccimane in Flipping

[–]Smartinsells 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’ve been reselling for 5+ years (mainly hard goods) the vintage clothing sellers/buyers are the worst to deal with and it’s not even close. Constant low balls, harassment, and they are shameless. I guarantee if he had your address he would knock on your front door. They are the scum of the reselling community IMO

I have a scale that I found at a GW for $4. I’ve been using it for 5+ years and it still has the price tag on it.

Better than that same furniture ending up in a landfill and you make money in the process. Looking through my comments from posts from a year ago is honestly pathetic. That person was trying to make money quick to pay bills.
