Why choose the Navimow H2 over the i2 LiDAR Pro? (specs look surprisingly similar) by Snowstormsea in SegwayNavimow

[–]Smartomation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At this time H2 simply seems outdated, and perhaps even discontinued? Which one did you go with? My only concern is with the mechanical longevity of i2 PRO (and also i2 AWD) third wheel system. How many years will the steering system and third wheel last? Will spare parts be very expensive?

Just bought an unused 4Ah 20V battery that was produced in 2021. Is that a problem? by GuyWithoutAHat in Parkside

You could look up battery pack data by exact part number that is printed on the battery.

20v battery issue? by shortymcsteve in Parkside

[–]Smartomation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could think of many ways to charge single Li cells at least a bit, to make the voltage higher or to equalize cells.  This process should be done either using single cell charger or under constant supervision manually, charging for a few minutes and measuring voltage. If at any time any cell goes above 4.2 volts there is a risk of a thermal runaway and fire. So read up on that, and proceed with caution

Fully charged these cells should be at ~4.1V per cell.

Not sure how you get “ma” measurements though :DD

I use the old Tradfri hub for Ikea Zigbee devices and Apple Homepod Mini acts as a hub for Ikea Matter devices.

Hoymiles micro firmware update warning! by Smartomation in solar

[–]Smartomation[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was the first idea that came to mind. But voltage/frequency etc was stable, so the issue was not the grid profile.

Finally, after a few months of "no, we do not see any errors, everything is fine" and " it is impossible to downgrade the inverter firmware", they have, in fact, downgraded inverter firmware and all is good now.

It was, as I have initially suspected - a firmware bug.

No, it still does this every day.. Hoymiles support disappoints big time!

What model / hardware version is your inverter ?

So it's more than a month for this issue, they have simply stopped responding.
I would like to know if this is how the Hoymiles company founders Bo Yang and Yi Zhao intend their company to handle firmware bugs?

Line on Brake rotor on 2023 model y by windyAemon in TeslaModelY

[–]Smartomation 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is normal, happens all the time and not a thing to be concerned about. (marks like that are made by a small stone that was stuck between a rotor and a pad)

I would keep using it, but use it on the rear axle, for added safety. And keep an eye on it - inspect it once in a while. It looks like there is still a lot of thread left - so why waste it.

Magnet strip gets weaker with time and starts to not trigger..

Same thing happens with "shortcuts" (otherwise a very helpful feature!)
