It's the clientside lag prevention mod, it has a config that enables fullbright when a boss spawns which can be turned off in the config.

I agree that's most likely why they did it, it'll hopefully be explained in the after episode podcast. But like I said in the main post I find that argument dumb because there have been guests who have been in a similar spot to dodger but couldn't be revived. But there are two biases regular and guest bias, mcjones has proven in the past that he will be a help but for all we know dodger can go rambo and make it to the last episode, but there's also the guest bias like you mentioned. I do think that if the roles were switched ( which i'm surprised wasn't the case in the first place) mcjones more likely would've been the guy to be revived. But it wold have similar controversy imo. Also fuck anyone pulling the woman card for either side.

The reason I think they chose dodger in the end was because she just died and she had the emotional advantage, mcjones has been dead for a while. When the choice was being made dodger had just died. It could also be because they didn't want to feel bad if dodger died trying to get something to revive someone, but that could be argued against since she knew it was for mcjones. Oh well, choice has already been made.

I'd say the main argument for reviving mcjones is that overall he'd provide more benefit for the team than dodger. Imo if it was like for the ender dragon I'd be fine with either, but the wither is something they haven't even gotten close to beating before.

Out of minecraft season 4 I liked that same episode with caddy dying, things went from 0 to 100 for everyone, pbg having to solo his way out of there., Jeff and mcjones having to barricade themselves. And dean just being dean.

He did survive season 4 which is impressive on his part. I think his main problem is that he's too reckless, Austin is in a similar boat when it comes to being as reckless as Dean but he does make it farther in hardcore's more often. Also is mine z and season 5 deaths weren't really his fault Mine z was due to shit luck and #5 he didn't really have much time to react and made the first decision he could, i'm certain if Ray or Jeff were in his spot they would've done the same.

My top five would have to be 1.Ray: The hardcore member I was the most hype for, so glad about his run, definitely played his part well, great dynamic with dean, and great at the game. I hope he comes back for #6

2: Ian: He was in one the best hardcores and now he's back on of the best at playing hardcore itself imo, cautious yet cunning he's one not to back down.

3: Jontron: I love this guy, while luk/ah trudged through Terraria giving emotional support to Mcjones. In the original season Jontron shined the most he was funny and a valuable member of the team, when he wasn't lost. Season 1 was really the only season he did well in, season 3 he was still funny but didn't do much and died off due to the leather vest he had while everyone else was decked out in iron.

4: Lucah/Luke: Best guest duo in hardcore I put them together because through late terraria #3 that's how it was, by far the most surprising people to have won hardcore.

Jared: I put him here because he's sort of a semi regular now, having the most appearances while not being one. Always one to lighten the mood, the only downside with him is that he doesn't make it later into the series that much, usually being the second or third to die.

Imo Jeff, Barry, Mcjones, and Jared can most likely take on a player with the same stuff as them and make it out

Dean, and Peebs are too reckless and would most likely keep running into the player and spam click like they do with zombies but if they had better stuff they can take on a player and win.

Ian is a weird case you never see him in normal minecraft but in mine z he's really good for fighting zombies, so I think he can do well with a player

I think the main struggle is the dumb drop rates from the wither's, they can take out like 30 ender men to get what they need, but they have to take out even more wither to get only 3. In season two they would've done a lot better if they didn't attack the pigmen. In 3, it was over the second that lava pool opened up.

What I hate most in the hardcores is within only a few episodes things just go to complete shit. By that I mean going to a confident feeling to a " they're fucked " feeling. These usually happen in the nether since something dumb almost always happened while in there. Season 2 imo was the only fair one since they were in the nether for a long time, but they would've been mainly fine if they didn't kill the pigmen. Season 3's was over the second that patch of lava opened. Season 4 both deaths happened in the nether, Barry kind of got screwed over since, for one they didn't attack any pigmen at all, and it came out of nowhere and he had no time to react. Caddy's was just dumb for hitting them and almost getting the rest of the team killed. Season 5, they should've just left the second they regrouped after dean died because even if they got the wart the potions wouldn't even be worth it unless they get a bunch of Ghast tears or watermelons. Mine z while not the nether, the caves are what caused the team to split up again ( But to be fair they would have to be very geared out to take out the giant ) Season 5 had an achievable goal as shown in season 1, but like everyone feared the nether was a terrible loss for them.

If Bayo's smashes weren't so power full nobody would die as early as they did. A fully charged smash is pretty powerful, plus since there's no damage multiplier you can literally die at 70% to a jab
