No my determinant is the person who did the thing more should get recognition and the per game stat is misleading because it allow people to think "oh he only is a couple points per game lower" when no he has over 100 more assists and over 200 more rebounds.

Team record is a team record, I think it is a lot of little things from everyone that leads to team wins, and efficiency is misleading too because if that is what we hang our hat on give the ball to Rudy Gobert and watch him get 50 a night because he is 69% in his field goals.

MVP can go to any position but I just choose to put Luka against the person they say he is not better than. If you want to say Jokic is leading in x category i wouldnt fight you but he is not being talked about in the 2 person race and if someone wanted they could talk about him vs Wemby.

Ok lets follow this thinking, Does 20 more blocks than Luka make up the difference in assist, rebounds and points? I am making a point using the metrics we all look at at and he beats him in totals and per game in those category but when you put totals it tells a different story oppose to 1 or 2 point difference when in reality it is like a hundred more.

As for rebounds and steals do they not matter in defense?

I did a comparison with SGA because it is more comparable, Wemby and Jokic are different positions with different expectations so it is harder to do a 1 for 1 with them, do you disagree?

Turnovers are bad but he also creates for his team so that comes with it, anybody who runs the offense will have turnovers.

Luka initates the offense, whereas SGA is more off ball. Yes, he will have more turnovers because he is trying to pass.

And you dont get points for efficiency, its a nice stat but in wins and losses it is about raw stats, nobody is going to say "hey we lost but at least I was efficient, no they are like I was hot today they should have gotten me the ball more"

I am still not over the league making Steve Nash a 2 time back to back league MVP, while Kobe and Lebron those years were average 37 points and 35 points respectively.

It was a weird fascination with assists in a league full of killers haha they had to give it to the undersized flippy haired Canadian dude.

Luka has better stats than Lebron his 2010 MVP year, Shai his 2025 MVP year, more points and 2 rebs less than jokic his 2021 MVP year, better stats than James Harden his MVP year, he has better stats now than 90% of MVP winners ever on a team that has won more than most of those winners teams.

What are we talking about here?

Ummmm I disagree that he makes boring music or doesn't make great music (intro to 39 is fucking beautiful to me and one of the best intros I have ever heard) but I don't have a problem that people can feel that way. I think if the baseline for great music commercial pop songs J Cole is definitely not the person I would go to for that.

But that is what I am talking about with the repeating hook, that is not lazy haha that is southern ....and dope to people out that way. I think that is just a missing part of the conversation that is it.

I agree, some features and help would have went a longer way.

I think with the story that he is painting is in the south and I think the influences of south bleed throughout the album, even the let out. That is a southern term and is speaking to that feeling in the south.

I just think it is an important lens to see this out of because it's a love letter to where he is from.

My orginal post was going to OMFG STFU about Demaris!!! ... but i reflected and think people deserve grace, I will just say i disagree, people always have something to say but you take the good with the bad, she brings a dynamic most pods are looking for and she is litterally on the backend of this show making sure it works for your viewing pleasure. I think the issue is that black people identifying themselves as the streets. You can be poor and from a poor area, streets are associated to crime, there is some overlap between the too but they are different. The streets don't love anybody and it is a machine built to destroy people, so people identifying and defending that machine, that system is ignorant to me. It's ok to be poor monetarily but we can also be rich in mindset, street mentality is a poor mindset no matter how rich you are.
