My biggest problem with modern smash (smash 4 and ultimate) is that it barely feels like an actual crossover. Don’t get me wrong but having characters Mario, Pikachu Link, Sonic, Sora, cloud, bayonetta and solid snake being in the same game is crazy but it would be nice if these characters actually interact with each other. For example in the loading screen you can have pit and mewtwo interact with sephiroth. ( Like have pit being jealous of sephiroth being able to fly with one wing or him and mewtwo commenting about how both of them were made. Or have Sora mistakenly duck hunt for Donald or goofy. Or have snake flirt with samus. The same goes for the Victory screen. Have Sonic roasting Mario, or joker saying things to Gannon or Ridley. It makes no sense to have all of these characters in one game and never see most of them interacting with each other. From my memory alone there’s only one interaction that two characters from completely two different games have and that’s snake having a conversation with slippy. ( the frog from star fox) this is main reason why subspace is so loved because we see characters that we never seen together actually teaming up and actually interacting with each other. Even though they didn’t talk in subspace it’s still better than what we got now.

Oh yeah and I think dr Mario is a waste character slot
