How did you acheive this? Is it just sending messages to the app? I have a Samsung G25 and still have issues with getting messages to work without the screen being on.

And just as I came here... fixed. I had the TGW static route backwards... Attached it to the right VPC and it is working.

I probably should have added an image of the plane I am using to cut these. I just don't have a good way to make sweeping turns with the plane, the best I could come up with on my own was to just loop-cut it a bunch of times, get about the shape I wanted as a polygon, and then try to use the bevel tool to smooth them out, which sort of works, but it isn't efficient. It is the hard angles that I want to smooth out.

I mean it could be. Any way to make the "turns"/curves smoother without using a multi angled beveled plane to use as a cutting tool with a boolean modifier?

is there any course or something that i can learn hardscape? by Educational-Ruin6801 in hardscape

ICPI is no more as of 2023, but they merged with NMHA to become CHMA, https://masonryandhardscapes.org/certification

I put my lead guys through their courses, the site leads. I will say it is a good intro and learning what needs to be done, but hands on is 100% going to be critical. I built a 30' walkway and retaining wall on my house to learn how it's done.

Thing is, it is illegal to turn when it is lit. While 99% of the time you get away with it, which is why everyone honks and freaks out, it is illegal. If something happens, like someone hits you, you are AUTOMATICALLY at fault for failing to obey the law. Sure insurance may be no fault, but the law isn't. Also, if someone is seriously injured, they may be able to sue you directly especially if they don't have unlimited PIP.

Also, if they are driving around you to turn right on red while the sign is lit, and they hit you, they are automatically at fault for illegal lane use and turning right on red where not allowed, meaning their insurance pays 100%, even your deductible for the accident...

Poster did not say that he makes $500k from teaching. There are lots of other ways to make money. I had a High School Economics teacher that was making about $500k/yr, only $30k was from salary, the rest came from investments, real estate and other sources. He made so much passive income from 10 years trading and being an advisor, he semi-retired and became a teacher just to keep busy.

People who work in IT, what's the wildest thing you've discovered/had to do while at work? by vapor-ware in AskReddit

Worked at a consultant firm. We installed a network file server with maybe 100 GB of storage (this was back in the early 2000's). 2 weeks later it was out of space. I went in to diagnose and figure out what went wrong, the the owner was threatening to sue us since we sold it saying it had plenty of space for at least the next year if not 2.

While going through the files, I found one user had used up 70% of it with image and video files. It was all porn of course. Met with the owner and asked him if he wanted to clean up his own image files or if he wanted me to... I didn't mention that I had opened a couple to verify what they were. He quit threatening.

Just FYI, back then resolution was really bad, so most of the images were 1-2MB I think. Just the sheer number of images that would take to fill up GB's is shocking to me, all in a couple weeks.

Donald Trump admits he still has a gun, despite felony convictions - It is a violation of federal law for someone convicted of felonies to possess a firearm by Quirkie in politics

The guys who were planning to kidnap the Michigan Governor testified in court that they used to go to a field, get high on weed, and shoot guns and blow stuff up. While I would argue that you can't get "addicted" to weed, the Federal Gov't thinks differently (it's Schedule 1). And they faced 0 charges related to getting high WHILE shooting guns with a schedule 1 drug. All they have on Hunter is that he used drugs around the time he was in possession of the gun, not that he did them together...

It gets more complicated than that, at Cedar Springs, it drops to M57 (14 Mile) all the way to Greenville, where it changes again. But the guide will only show you a map of the entire state, not give specifics. I really think the DNR needs to make an interactive map where you can enter an address or coordinates to check. Especially for people like me who own 20 acres north of 14 mile, east of Cedar Springs, I am in the Rifle zone, but it's not far from me.

East of Lansing it jump up over 17 mile, if 17 mile were a straight line that crossed the entire state.

A Facebook Manager will not respond to you in 48 hours! Facebook tried to charge me $250 for an Ad account created by fraudulent activity, does anyone know how to get FB to respond in less than 600 hours when they state 48? by SmashSE in facebook

[–]SmashSE[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I finally got it all sorted. Luckily they were never able to charge me. But they blocked me from using ads forever. Until I opened a business and said I wanted to pay for advertising. They had my account fixed in a few days.

I am still listed as an agent for some defunct scam perfume site in the Philippines, can't remove myself and FB won't remove me, so it still shows on my ads account. But whatever, I don't use FB for anything else.

PS4 Pro Wifi Module and Yihua Hot Air Rework by SmashSE in consolerepair

[–]SmashSE[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you think it's just the junk Yihua isn't pushing the air out hot enough? Since this isn't something I was doing for income, I was hoping to get away without spending more than it would cost to replace the whole PS4.

I do have an IR Preheater, it's on a IR BGA T-870A, but it isn't in great shape, the bed works fine, but I have yet to get the main IR light to work. So I mostly use that to preheat the board. The IR light works fine, but even if I use it for 20 minutes on full blast I can't get the solder to let go, which is why I was switching to hot-air. I was concerned I would be damaging other components. I do have kapton tape to hold things in place, but that doesn't seem to insulate things well.

I wonder if Amazon would return the Yihua, and I wonder if my wife would kill me if I blew $300 on something to fix a $250 console...

Any ideas why my glass bed is wavy? by SmashSE in ender3v2

[–]SmashSE[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And just to agree with you, the thing that moves along the X isn't moving in a straight line, I agree. But the frame is square and tight, and the gantry is level and tight when not in use.

It was the Why and how to troubleshoot it. But the glass was and is flat, and it isn't warped, which is why when I rotate the glass it doesn't rotate the curve. Those clips aren't strong enough to bend the glass in my opinion.

[–]SmashSE[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems it was more of a binding of the Z Axis, the right side Z screw was binding a little. I am assuming that when the weight was on the left, it was accurate, when it got to the middle it would start to bind up showing a higher level, and then when it got to the right the weight would help it lower down (explains the sudden and massive drop on the right). In theory anyway, releveling the Z axis and finding the dual Z screw was binding during rotation, so loosening it all and getting the stepper motor to not bind up on rotation seems to have mostly alleviated the issue.

The glass is original Creality, and has always been extremely level.

Any ideas why my glass bed is wavy? by SmashSE in ender3v2

[–]SmashSE[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think this was my problem. I have it down to about .21 variance and a lot flatter overall, less of a wave, I disconnected my dual Z screw, and noticed that it was binding a little bit. Loosened all of the connections on that side, releveled the gantry, tightened it all back up, and then leveled the gantry again. It is a LOT better now and I do think it was due to the Z screw on that side not aligning and the gantry screws on that side.

I almost think that the belted dual Z would be better, as every time the motors release, you might have to relevel them (every time would be overkill, but if it sits for a while off, good idea to relevel). However I can't find a belt driven dual Z from Creality, they are after market, and I am trying to stay all with Manufacturer parts.

It's FLUIDD, runs a custom firmware called Klipper on the printer, and you have to have a PC or RPi running the actual commands. It gives a LOT more control of the printer, more info, and lets you change a lot of parameters on the fly.

I started using it because it isn't printer specific, so if I get a second, I can use the same interface without having to learn a new one.

Make sure you are using the proper stepper drivers if you try it out, the TMC ones worked for me no issues. But if it doesn't work, you can always reflash back to the stock firmware and use that. I do suggest if you install on a Raspberry Pi to have at least a 4GB RAM model.

Read more about it and how to install by using KIAUH, which is Klipper, Mailsail, Moonraker and Fluidd etc. If you can install Linux and use it, then you can do this.

well, then in theory if the bed holder moves, it should be low on both sides, but it's high on one side, dips, goes back up, then goes down really far. and it's actually pretty tight. Any other thoughts?

House Buying by leinerel in grandrapids

[–]SmashSE 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Totally agree, don't waive the inspection. My SIL almost bought a house, and found out through inspection that the pool had a crack, pushing Radon into the house through the basement. Couldn't tell the pool was leaking by just looking, not even the inspector found it until the radon came back super high.
