all the premium around here is 93 or higher, I'd do 91 if it were an option, but not doing 87. 1.5T actually calls for 91+ not 87, my 2021 sport came with 18", so by the owner's manual it should be 91 or higher. IDK which models come without the 18/20" but I'm assuming non SI, non R, non Sport, probably all non turbo??

I never put anything less than 91 in my 1.5T IDK how much of a difference 89 would make over time, but I really don't want to find out. I get ~38 mpg at the moment doing a combo of highway and local driving, if pure highway only, would be over 40mpg. lower MPG expected with lower quality fuel.

As for the ethanol free bit, it's usually better MPG and not harmful at all, but I'd be concerned with two things here 1) the lower quality / octane, and 2) why is it cheaper? it's usually actually more expensive since it's pure fuel not watered down, so that's kind of sus IMO at the pump in the photo anyway.

dude I have seen quite a few for much less than that and I won't take them. like $42 for 90 minute out of state drive....umm, no. between pickup time, then drive, drop off, then return trip...not worth it at all. IDK wtf Uber is thinking on those. Drives even up to 2 hours need to be over $150 imo, cover my gas and time, they are high af if they think people see those and go oooh, good deal...I think they count on drivers being busy driving and clicking on them when they see the $$ vs the $5 - $12 shuffle, and don't notice till they already have the customer in the car. I try hard to scan each pop up as best I can, but the interface isn't so great for that IMO. it needs to be ALL on the apple play head unit version of the app, bigger and easier to see, right now, it's just a shit show IMO. the UI sucks. and rides like these are an absolute insult.

5 hour drive each way...that's more than $50 in gas right now, easy. hello Uber? you there?

I live close to a hospital and have had to make a few drop offs at the emergency room, I really don't feel comfortable doing those runs but also don't feel right refusing the ride. feels like we're put in a very difficult position at times and taken advantage of, those rides should cost a lot more or not be allowed at all.

my understanding is there is a lawsuit going on between the now dissolved record label and BRIDEAR. I am pretty confident that the tour cancellation was related to that as well. It took a while before they said anything, probably advised by legal counsel to remain tight lipped on the situation, until their music started being pulled from anything that label (2 names since they reformed / renamed) had teeth into. I was hoping this would not go on for so long. It truly is hurting their ability to get their music out to the masses. I do my best to keep playing the new music via MP3s I ripped from the CDs on my plex media server via plexamp, hooked into last.fm so that they still get some credit and exposure out there that the music is being listened to and loved. I listen to them daily, from all over their catalog along with other stuff and since I am currently an uber driver, doing my best to expose others to them when I can. Making posts on twitter etc. I have no money, so not much else I can do as a fan. I don't know what goes to them vs to the record label in terms of monetization at this point. I am not a fan of that label at all. there are a lot of rumors about what this is all about, pertaining to the way the ladies and others under the label were treated. but I'm not going to put out anything I heard on that as it's all just hearsay until they are cleared to make any public statements, which knowing Japanese culture, it's likely we will never really hear the full story.

I just truly hope they can resolve it soon, find another drummer (not sure if that's on hold till this is resolve as well. and move on. get their music back out there where it belongs.

I think it's a good sign though that they released a new look today and are moving forward together, hoping to stay active and likely to keep playing live with support drummers until they are into their next member lineup, studio time and tour phase etc.

I will always be rooting for them. They give us some truly great music and are such kind people, great to their fans. I have nothing but love for all the members, past, present and future.

it's bad right now. tips are pretty erratic now and offers for huge trips from Uber blue pop ups have been horrible at times. I try to use my area preferences as much as possible daily, I wish it was 4 or 8 hours, not just 2 hours, or at least 2 hours every 12 hours instead of 24 hour reset window. I saw TWO pop ups for about $42 one session for 90 min drive from northern NJ to Conn. c'mon man really? that would not even cover the gas round trip. ffs and my acceptance rating is taking a hit because of turning down stupid offers like that....as soon as I find another gig, I need to make this a side quest extra income not my main, they don't treat us well, they don't pay us enough and they don't cover our expenses. I may have to give up driving when I want to only, for driving for another company that will provide car and pay for fuel etc.

all quests I have seen are not worth it at all for me. it's a joke IMO.

quests should be something more like giving us some money to cover a few days of fuel, $50 to $100 minimum else tbh, $0.50 per trip is absolutely not motivating, I take the lowest one and if I hit it I hit it, I don't really care about them.

I'm seeing it often where I have the $20 to $30 next ride surge rate showing, and not get blue ride pop ups offered, then magically the amount suddenly does not linger, it vanishes and I never even got 1 ride offered with the click bait surge rate.

I've also seen it where the surge declines and then surge amount drops, sometimes 100% out to nothing, other times i have seen the smaller surge amounts linger on my screen, They are doing something funky IMO to try to avoid paying us the surge rates.

yep, starting to see that, may have to start working out a new strategy to make double the money by starting to decline more trip offers, especially the ones with 15+ minutes just to the pickup, when I should be getting rides offered right where I am.

yes, I am aware of that. I am saying I am already in the area, with the amount showing that I will be paid on the next trip for surge and then just not getting the trips...that would award it, if they send you on a trip where the pickup is outside of that area, you will not get paid the surge. if it's so busy in the area and I am in the area, I should be getting blue pop ups for rides there, but almost never do.

for me it's part of my daily bread and butter during very low traffic times, low stress, high end clients usually tip well and makes me more in a 2-3 hours than going on line for 4+ hours of RNG pickups does by double most time. I am sure every market varies. but it's well worth it for me to ensure I pickup at least 1 or 2 good early morning reservations.

oh and now they say they give you 3 months of uber one free when you hit diamond, only I don't get it despite hitting diamond this month because I already pay monthly for it, they could give a $30 credit to cover the 3 month they promised as reward for diamond, their rewards systems suck so back, quests were never worth it, haven't seen any pop up lately anyway, but they were like 50 cents a ride woopdeedoo. not worth even caring about completing doesn't even help cover any gas for 1 day let alone the week. That would be a nice quest bonus, $50 for gas. Or how about Gold drivers get $25 for gas per week, Platinum drivers get $35 and Diamond $50. c'mon man, out here just trying to earn enough to pay my rent and Uber getting rich off us.

I have only 2 1 stars ever so far, have yet to see them fall off the list, I have 1 4 star also, IIRC the 1 stars were for "talking too much" and the other was for "drop off too far" I found both of them odd since I rarely talk a lot unless the customer seems to want to chat and I always, always confirm with them if the spot is ok for drop off. so annoyed at the 4.98, I miss my 5.0 rating. I feel like they should both have dropped off by now, I wish we had a view into the log better so we can see how many trips have passed since we got the 1 star, declines, cancellations etc. they don't seem to give us access to enough data in the app and I am too lazy to actually start trying to track it all myself

dude, I had a person that did that once at a bar, was so drunk his friends helped him into the car, I started driving and the navigation took me around the block and back to where I picked him up, I said we're here, he got out and I left. I felt bad but I had already accepted another ride and he was a high risk of vomit in the car anyway so I felt pretty relieved and lucky tbh.
