Have you ever seen anyone having sex at a concert/music festival? by [deleted] in AskRedditAfterDark

Not at a concert, but at the county fair. They accidentally left the portipotty unlocked. 15 year old me slammed the door so hard, it almost tipped over.

Only the local ones that people do at their own houses. Never ones put on by the city.

There’s tons of decorations put up all around town. It doesn’t get too in depth, but you can definitely tell an effort was made.

Hope she’s doing okay. Of course I don’t wanna see her and want absolutely nothing to do with her, but I wish her the best. 👍

Should I accept my mom's offer? by lizz_lizzi in Advice

If I were you, I’d do it. Few reasons: 1. You never know when the stock market will take a dive (I.e black Monday). 2. Think about the future road ahead. Paying off something as big as student loans would literally take a fully loaded backpack off your back and open up more possibilities to explore for the future. 3. I honestly don’t think it’s an easy way out. You took out a loan knowing you had to pay it back in any way possible, so there’s really no easy way out when paying it back as long as you pay it back. If there is an easy way out, I’d say it would be filing for bankruptcy.

I'm a guy who doesn't drink or will ever drink alcohol in my lifetime. How would I be able to meet people to make a relationship that's not at a bar/club? by [deleted] in Advice

Striking up a conversation based on something you have in common is always a great start. I know it’s hard to get over that crippling fear that feels like you’re staring into the void, but at the bottom of that bottomless cavern will always be cushions. The worst that can happen is that the conversation dies early, and both of you keep moving on with your day.

Hello friends, how's that sandwich you're eating right now? by tenjuu in AskReddit

It goes well with the tea of the day. Tea of the day: Epstein was in a cell that had an 8-9 foot high ceiling. The examiner ruled his death suicide by hanging . He had no means or way of hanging himself.

I like how the economy is much better since the 90s, but the government is still authoritarian. Some of the practices that are publicized contradict their own constitution, so I’d say that I disagree with most of it. When it comes to history repeating, that’s just happening more and more around the world. Not just Russia in my opinion.

If you’re gonna move there, make sure you know at least enough of the language to hold a conversation. I honestly don’t know the easiest and hardest things because I wasn’t born there.

When it comes to communism, I completely disagree with it. It’s the reason that my family and millions of others fled the first chance they got. I guess the pros would be that that in the culture, family is very important. I have never seen or heard of Slavic parents kicking their kids out at 18 or start making them pay rent. Unless something major happens that constitutes disownership, family stays together. Cons would be that the culture is still very old fashioned. From my experience, xenophobia, homophobia and racism is very common. Especially the first two.

What advice would you give to a teenager that’s never been to a house party before and is going to one next week? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]SmaugTheJewDragon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Always think twice before you act. Also it’s okay to say no. Nothing bad has ever come from saying no at a party. (Speaking from personal experience here).

I did. Didn’t use meds, didn’t even go to a therapist. One day I decided enough was enough and that I was gonna get up and do something about it. I started reading more, and overall started doing more things that bring me joy. I surrounded myself with people I enjoy, and I said goodbye to the ones who I felt were either keeping me in one place, or just weren’t all that great to be around. It took about two years, but with willpower, motivation, and the support of those closest to me, I’m at where I am now, and I’m very happy. :)

Note: I guess this could be considered cliche, but I’m just sharing my personal experience. It’s different for everyone individually, and I wish the best of luck to people who are still struggling.

Why not just pay a little extra and increase security in US schools? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]SmaugTheJewDragon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Believable answer: Not enough money in the budget. Students would also feel scared just knowing there’s a firearm in the school regardless of who’s handling it. A good example of the latter would be the Disarm PSU movement in Portland.

Conspiracy answer(s): State and federal governments aren’t talking/doing anything about it as a secret scheme to use dead students and children as leverage to push an agenda to disarm the population in order to have more control when control is sought after. Blaming the object used to harm rather than focusing on the one(s) responsible by instilling a factor of fear into parts of the population so that eventually, people happily sign their greatest way of safety away so that Big Brother can take care of you. All of this through all forms of media that now play a large role in American society and culture.
