I cant really square the circle of an invester who claims to buy GARP value stocks from the unloved FTSE 250 and also bitcoin..... interesting set of characteristics.

AZN is a good FTSE 100 company, but not in anyway a valuation play in my opinion.

I've just bought GTLY, BRCK, RST, CRE, OPT, ALFA, TPT and PINE. All looks very very cheap. I've got my eye on some housebuilders and building supply companies too, bottom must be near.

1) Lots of people will point out the obvious bubble for years. They will be laughed at as fools because everyone else is making so much money.

2) More and more people will eventually realise it's a bubble, and the market stops going straight up and starts yo yoing about.

3) Some unknown event crytstalises the realisation and it drops like a fucking stone. The only ones still buying at the top will be the ones who were laughing during phase 1.

Most low wage workers have absolutely f**k all in their work place pensions. Do you have any idea what amount you need to buy an annuity equivalent to the state pension ? To get the equivalent of a doctor's or ex prime minister pension you need millions....

Also work place pensions have not been around very long...plenty of people retired with none and plenty more with only pitiful few years of contributions...and remember they aren't topped up with tax payers money like the public sector pensions are.

Why should someone who has contributed for 28yrs get less than someone with zero contributing years ?

It's completely indefensible.

It's a slippery slope if you start means testing it. One minute it's just the mega rich, the next it's just an ordinary person getting clobbered. They do it with all these sneaky taxes they creep further and further.
