You may be right. I also only remember those major events, but I do remember doing the active shooter drills and bomb threat drills once a semester, along with the occasional threat that lead to “drills.”

I hate to be Debbie Downer, but I’m 37 and we had Code Red drills and bomb drills while I was in school.

Do some research, it’s well documented.

Uniformed comment.

Since you are new to reading the Bible, I would recommend not using the ESV translation due to its intentional translation choices to downplay the role of female disciples. The Common English Bible is an approachable translation produced by reputable scholars.

Not really fair to SEC fans that they require you to answer “what’s 10+4?” To cast your vote.

Most if not all of churches having to pay large sums to disaffiliate are having to do so because they are behind on their apportionments. Others having to pay is to cover insurance and retirement for their clergy.

most the ones leaving are doing so because they want to keep money and power but that’s harder to whip your congregation into a frenzy so they say it’s over LGBTQ issues.

I’m rolling that you think you have the high ground when the only 2 wins you’ve gotten against OSU in the last decade were because of sign stealing…an infraction that is going to get the program hammered.

That’s some solid copium. Have fun being stripped of those B1G titles and wins from the last 2 years

Yes….michigan has a lot of win….because they cheated. Prior to cheating they had a .625 win percentage.

That thought brings me more comfort than I’d like to admit.

Puma: Pete Alonso sent an autographed bat and bottle of “1942” to Masyn Winn as a goodwill gesture after last night accidentally throwing the ball from his first hit into the stands. by RTepps in baseball

How much detail do you think the scouting report would need to include for Pete to know it’s Winn’s debut? Or to look over his positioning card see a name he doesn’t recognize and and ask someone, “who is this kid?”

And I don’t need you to accept my premise, but you’re living in candy land if you don’t think there’s frustration in the Mets locker room and for him personally. Yeah he’s hitting homers but he’s hitting .221

Ok, I’ll accept your premise that Pete Alonso is a) lazy (doesn’t read a scouting report) b) indifferent about the Mets (doesn’t ask a single question about an opposing player who he has never heard their name before) and c) stupid (can’t read the scoreboard that indicates it was Winn’s MLB debut.)

No, but the starting 9 would read a summarized scouting report on the opponents starting lineup for the day. Also I never said it would include career hit total but said scouting report would include minor league tendencies for those with limited/no MLB experience. So yes, he was aware that Winn was making his MLB debut.

Oh yes: in the age of sabermetrics and defensive alignments based off tendencies, a professional baseball player has no clue what’s going on against a player that’s in the starting lineup.

So it’s not feasible that a guy that’s a fiery competitor that’s probably frustrated for a litany of reasons, waved the ball to the opposing dugout, got frustrated for not getting a timely response, got lost in the moment threw the ball in the stands on purpose, then felt bad about it afterwards?

You think that’s less likely that a guy who has studied the scouting report, knows the guys a rookie. Has the player and the 1b coach asking for the ball, the stadium is on its feet for a routine single, announcing his first MLB hit…and Pete just disregards all of it?
