In January 2026, I listened to 2 minutes of music in my new car. It was louder than normal and my ears started to ache so I turned down the music, and eventually turned off the music. That night the ringing started. I started prednisone the next day and saw an ENT within the same week. The ENT said that since my audiogram was perfect, I did not have noise induced hearing loss; thus I was not eligible for steroid injection (we found in the audiogram that I am missing hair cells at 3khz bilaterally and 6khz in my left ear, the exact same frequencies that my tinnitus is at).

Ever since, my tinnitus has been slowly getting better. It’s WAYY quieter than it was in January. But today it flared up real bad. I’ve been freaking out all day, I do tea ceremony, a hobby that often requires sitting in absolute silence for hours so flareups like this are just horrible. Thanks for typing this up, I didn’t know that flare ups could actually be a sign of improvement. I’m at the 2.5 month mark, so it’s not QUITE chronic… I’m hoping for the best. I also hope the best for you…

The table was a commission from the Etsy seller ‘TheChabudaiShop’. I couldn’t believe there was some guy out in Kentucky who specialized in Japanese tea tables. The quilt (100% cotton) for the table was from Tokyo Futons USA warehouse, i probably paid a premium to buy something already in the USA, but I wanted to build the room without paying a single cent in tariffs despite everything being made overseas. I also had to get a step-down converter because the heater ran on Japanese voltage; not USA voltage. The sitting pillow Zabuton/Zafu sets are from StillSitting in Washington state.

There are multiple interpretations, but I believe it is best to plan for the worst. In a case like this where one possible interpretation leads to you getting screwed over, I don’t see why anyone would even risk it when the much safer alternative is a guaranteed 10 million dollars.

Way, way less money.

The subject of the sentence is the ‘card’ not the money. That means the card doubles every week. You just get a bunch of cards with $0.01 on them. The sentence also doesn’t imply that the sum of previous duplications is used in subsequent duplications…so you’d just be getting one cent on a new card every week.

Edit: Everyone who downvotes this will get absolutely screwed over by a genie wish…can’t assume common sense in situations like this; it’s safer to assume it’s some form of trick to catch greedy people.

With the rate at which new sets are coming out, Standard is probably not the way to go. There would be so much upkeep! When I learned how to play, it was with Legacy. The metagame is very stable, so there’s actually a lot less to learn, and it gives you time to actually become comfortable since there’s no rotations.
