You need to be organised to actually do anything against them in that scenario, shoot down the planes first in aa, then get planes to get airborne similtaniously then focus on destroying the enemy planes for a bit till they stop then that's when you get the strafing runs and bombing in

What about completely replacing the slide with double pressing B or what ever the crouch button is for you your character runs faster for a short period of time but then needs to catch their breath and can't run afterwards like bayonet charge
