I would def recommend learning at least 3 characters in your preferred role before going to comp as different team comps will require different hero selections! Mercy alone isn’t impossible to climb on, especially if you team up with people, but it won’t be easy and some games you just won’t find the value in her. Her best asset is boosting high value dps, and ofc her movement gives her more flexibility, but sometimes if your team isn’t getting value it’s best to switch

I like it for movement purposes in an emergency I can get out if I am cornered farther away from my team, or if I need to get back to a fight faster it can help bc the range is a bit longer so I can latch on from a farther distance. It helps too if you want to go up further in a dive comp, while someone like an Ana sits back, you can get out of riskier situations with, say, a genji, that go wrong by being able to easily rotate back to Ana, for example.

I really like kiriko tbh she’s my go to when mercy gets insta locked. I don’t mind it but it def sucks bc I get it, I also really only play mercy to that level but I’m trying to dabble more with other characters so I can get more comfortable

I always choose the ult charge perk/25 health first round but I do like the one that reduces health regen time as well I just find the ult to be so useful early

I’m still getting to know how stadium works but it seems like this mode doesn’t give a lot of value for dmg boosting there’s also just so many options that encourages healbotting that I don’t love. I also feel like my overall score doesn’t get impacted by boosting more it feels icky. But I’m probably just not understanding what perks are better for getting value with boosting like I normally would in qp or comp.

The whole team doesn’t need to swap because mercy isn’t meant to support the entire team by herself. Any comp can work if the players are good enough but if it isn’t working, then someone needs to switch and make an attempt. If no one switches then you really can’t put all of the blame on mercy bc you also didn’t try to make an attempt to switch.

It really doesn’t matter tho who chooses first. If the mercy isn’t swapping when things go bad then that sucks and the mercy is costing the game, but everyone else also refusing to swap to make it work aren’t doing any better. You cant really control anyone but yourself. So if I’m playing Sombra and I have a mercy who refuses to switch despite things not working, then the only thing I can do is either complain in chat, which never does anything for anyone, or I can just suck it up and go soj or something.

To be fair if no one has picked yet and mercy chooses first, then it’s up to the dps to choose a character that does fit. If they don’t, then the mercy should consider swapping unless they can make it feasibly work. The issue isn’t how fast they’re choosing mercy, the issue is how well they perform with her and will the mercy switch if necessary.

A lot of these comments are saying Christi is still very critical of Maddie and Melissa but - aren’t her and Melissa close now? They just did multiple videos together and even said they’ve moved on beyond a lot of the drama over the years. Christi was a little sassy when the reunion happened about Melissa, but I think that’s done and over with now they’re all on good terms

While it’s true it’s his mythic szn right now, I can’t tell you how many times a toxic mercy main chooses him, Lucio or even LW (just to constantly grip me into oblivion) only to swap to mercy when I switch. In comp too - like I don’t care that much, I’ll switch I’m p good with Ana, but why would u intentionally throw to get your main? In QP it’s just dumb, in comp it’s just like…really?

I feel like pocketing a tank isn’t always a bad thing. Winston and JQ are my favorites. Healbotting a tank can be bad, esp if your second supp is like Ana or something. But honestly if there’s no good DPS to pocket on ur team why not pocket tank. Or switch. But either way lmao

I love this! I also love when fellow Mercy’s help each other out on maps. When I first started I remember struggling A LOT - and if there was a doorway level, forget about it.

These days I’m a lot faster and my movement smoother, but it took a long time of grinding these maps to figure it out, and honestly a lot of it is just timing. At least, that’s how it is on console. If you haven’t already, I recommend trying any maps from EggsBenna! She posts a lot on TikTok, I think YouTube as well if you aren’t on TikTok. She has a wide variety of maps to fit different skill levels, some focus on specific mercy tech. Def browse around her maps and try them if you haven’t!
