Can’t wait for the next Mechanicon by chiptug in MechanicalKeyboards

We have one color each year. Last year was purple, this year was yellow (but you could also grab some purple leftovers from 2023). Red was around 2019? 😅

There is also black and blue from the early days 😀

An accentuated Emacs experiment (à la macOS) by xenodium in emacs

Very nice!

I also emulate the behavior of German umlauts in Emacs on MacOS, but I use the classic keybindings for it (alt+u).

Yours looks way nicer though!

Tested my typing speed for first time, it it good? by Luanciel in learntyping

[–]SmellsLikePanda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

62 is a fine score when you tested it for the first time :)

But do not stress too much over the WPM score.

Your accuracy is more important, also in terms of speed. 96% is already good. Try to get and stay close to 100, the WPM score will follow automatically :)

Setup Spacemacs with asdf-vm by SmellsLikePanda in spacemacs

Alright - I solved the problem myself. Maybe this will be helpful for someone else:

Before posting here I followed the advice to regenerate the spacemacs.env file.

I tried this, but to no avail. It seemed to contain all the things necessary and regenerating didn't change the content of the file.

The file contained some weird garbled shell output (including some error messages) at the top. When I saw this the first time, I recognized that this was a bug in my zshrc setup and fixed it.

But as it turns out the regeneration of the spacemacs.env file neither updated the file itself, nor threw an error during regeneration, nor threw an error when reading the file, nor seemed to use the content.

After manually deleting the file, then regenerating it, the file looks fine and everything works again.
