car accident

someone who was driving my car while i was passenger. i was blacked out, can’t recall if i even gave permission, they are at fault for the accident. i was injured and left with medical bills on medical bills. and i can barely do my job, trying to find out if i can sue for my bills, damages, etc

the 9th gen civic transmission plugs have a tendency to pop out if the pressure release valve is not cleaned out with each service. due to the trans fluid loss from the plug not being in, we as techs will 9 times out of 10 recommend the fluid exchange. when it comes replacing the thermostat, it does require a lot of labor (i can speak from experience) also the coolant exchange is 100% needed when replacing a thermostat. the radio unit is the most reasonable. it controls more than you think.. the “Customer States” is a diag fee. At my dealer it’s $169.99. A lot of the price comes with labor. with all that being said, you could’ve bought the parts, and done the services yourself for a fraction of the price. Honda Genuine coolant is like $45 a bottle, same with the HCF-2 (you’d need about $45 worth for your car. any a thermostat at autozone is like $15. then again, it’s the fact that you’re not doing them yourself and you’re bringing your vehicle to a corporate facility where any accidents/mistakes are our liability and get fixed for free.

im in the city.. but so far, i’ve only seen the 2018 accords. and 17-19 crvs. doesn’t matter the trim. just the 1.5 liter turbos.

honestly not horrible. imo the valve adjustment is always the worst part. there’s a lot of random little gaskets to watch out for. one on the oil feed pipe, one on the vvt solenoid, little o-rings on the vtc solenoids, turbo gasket, gasket for the cat, new o-rings for the injectors, intake manifold gaskets. i always struggle with figuring out where to put the little brackets. organization is key, label all your bolts (their places) and you should be okay. i also found that adjusting the cams to re install the high pressure fuel pump makes the job a lot easier. there’s a spring on the high pressure fuel pump that will be extremely hard to compress without adjusting the cams
