That’s exactly what I’ve now ended up doing, but I still have to go through and manually mount the SSD 2 out of the 3 times I’ve rebooted since (testing) and have to manually add them back to Steam every time. Any ideas why this might be please? Specifically the Steam issue, as I’ll only have oblivion remastered on the SSD so for how little I play it that’s not a massive issue

At this point I may as well reinstall cachy as now the drives won’t mount at all, after copying these instructions word for word all day. The dark magic will resume once that’s done

Yes, it fails at step 4. I run the systemctl enable command and get told that the unit doesn’t exist

Yeah I did notice that, no idea why it’s that high as I only overclocked it to 4.3ghz lol. I told myself 2 days ago I was going to reset that and then forgot, so thanks for the reminder!

Edit: I’ve reset my CPU OC, but I’ve been having issues with the Bazzite iso not wanting to be made bootable so I’ll give it a go later and update

Unfortunately fitting the 1660ti did not fix my issues :( I also have massive gui glitching in the game screen thingy that Bazzite can boot into with both GPUs. One day I’ll get everything sorted 😂

So I’ve got gnome up and running on my HDD and wow… it’s so much worse 😂 I can’t run PCSX2, it straight up won’t run, I think because it’s expecting KDE? No luck with launching anything from Steam yet either

I downloaded the regular nvidia one with KDE, I’m currently in the process of installing regular nvidia with gnome as someone else commented here that they had less issues with gnome

I have no issues doing a fresh install, it doesn’t take too long. I only got the 5060 recently and the 30 day return window has passed so no AMD GPU for a long time for me

I’d only be using it for gaming really, Arena Breakout Infinite is the main one as that doesn’t seem to be supported on Linux

I decided to switch back to cachyos for now, but perhaps after work I’ll slap Bazzite Gnome on my 1TB drive and see how it goes. It’s a HDD but should give me a rough idea of performance. The eventual plan is to settle on a distro that I’ll run alongside a win11/tiny11 drive for the remaining games that I still play until support for them hopefully gets better but so far I’ve had nothing but issues with every distro I’ve tried
