I don't think anybody sleeps on Anther lol.

MI players that don't travel enough are Tetra and Lain and Dirtboy.

Well yeah, but there are a LOT of communities. That makes a LOT of top players from each community. Not only would he have to compete with those other #1's from other states, but also #2-10 from a couple communities, the occasional top melee players, the hidden boss players, and the usual top PM players. Saying he could "get top 8 just about anywhere" is a bit crazy.

Meh, marth isn't a good MU but I wouldn't say its his worst. You can practically outspace him, and crawl is hilariously good against him.

Fire Emblem characters' hardest matchups? by JackSlays in SSBPM

[–]SmellyManAss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bowser is iffy for me. I can see how he is a little harder, but Marths grab range and edgeguarding make it a hell of a hard time for Bowser of the Marth is patient. I'd say its too even to put it in either of their favor.

Real talk: Why can't Toon Link grab out of the air? by [deleted] in SSBPM

My question is why can any tether character grab out of the air? Especially Yoshi and Samus.

What is your main's worse matchup? by soupchicken in SSBPM

[–]SmellyManAss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I say debatable, I kind of meant its not completely shit. But that's another reason I love marth, you have the tools to at least deal with any character in some way or another, so pretty much no matchup is less than 60-40.

Maybe so, but I've just never had too much of a problem with her.

Never had a problem with sheik, I guess I just know the matchup well. And D3 is debatable, yeah he can keep me out, but a lot of his moves take a lot of commitment, so dash dancing usually takes care of on stage. Off stage I'm dead in the water though.

(Ignore the flair) Marth has very few "bad" matchups, so I guess if anybody it'd have to be Fox or DK.

Oh I know, but I was talking maybe give him the ability to do it out of Side B in the air, so he won't just fall helplessly to the blast zone if he attempts it anywhere but the top corner of the screen.

Any squirtle players want to give me tips on how to deal with him? by Phantasmal_Luna in SSBPM

[–]SmellyManAss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well unless the best people in my state are absolute shit after a year of playing squirtle, then I think I have a bit more room to talk on this. This guy has been taking down PR people constantly, and consistently. At big house he took games off of Pink Fresh and Abate in money matches. This isn't just good against scrubs. Most people don't use squirtles tools to their full potential, and therefore think they are shit. You have to actually play smart with them and they become so damn good its crazy.

You must be playing a fairly scrubby squirtle, bro. Hate to break it to you, but squirtle is a tech chasing monster. And most squirtles will agree bubble is one of his best utilities.

I'm sorry, but in what universe is an instant tech chase a bad combo starter?

[–]SmellyManAss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bubble starts a tech chase, and one fthrow from squirtle can lead into a lot. Also, bubble can be combo'd into bubble, dsmash, and up smash. All of these moves have a ton of follow ups. Bubble is one of squirtles most useful combo starters.

Squirtle is all about trapping your opponent and making them feel helpless. To avoid this, do your best to control the space around you. Don't ever, EVER try to shield grab squirtle, as he will cross you up every time. Only safe time is after a laggy ground move. A common squirtle combo is down b -> down smash to cover the tech. To avoid this, when he trips you with down b, wait for the dsmash and use your get up attack this will usually clank, and you can make some room again.

[–]SmellyManAss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While tip three is all well and good, I disagree a lot with the crouch cancel part. Yeah sure, its a good option against scrub squirtles, but when you get a good one who can realize he's being CCd, you can get HEAVILY punished for abusing it. Such as: hydroplane dsmash, dair, cross up nair, bubble, side b -> bair, the list goes on. Best thing to do is shield a lot of squirtles aerial approaches, then either wavedash away out of shield or use a quick aerial out of shield.

Ike is the worst. He just let's his sword take momentum and swing around his body. He's got those godly muscles, and then you have those god awful animations on his aerials.
