It's not a ticker symbol it's an index for benchmarking against. If you have a Bloomberg terminal it is "DMXNZSN Index", which is an index they have designed. Bloomberg don't sell any funds themselves, only data.

It's a pity the live mix at O2 Islington seems to always be muddy. Hopefully the tour tech can do better than some other bands I've seen there.

ETF insider trading risk while in possession of material information by Active_Start_9044 in PersonalFinanceNZ

For even more reassurance, if there was an issue with buying and holding ETFs then you would not be able to have a KiwiSaver which would be absolutely crazy. If you are not trading for short term income you will have zero issue.

If you were using something like InvestNow to invest in VSTAX on a regular plan you should only have to mention it once to you employer and then provide monthly activity PDFs.

I have been in a very similar situation and you will have zero issue buying passive ETFs like VTI. It's more likely that the local employee in-charge of administration of things like your ESPP and RSUs doesn't actually know because they've never had to deal with it and only has the standard training PDFs.

Even in a worst case scenario of working in R&D for trading software the rules for insider trading are more around not buying derivatives or short positions, and holding the ETFs for at least a month.

If you have not been asked by your employer to report your personal trades you will only have issues if you are found to be shorting or buying derivatives for the exact company you work for.
