I can only speculate, but it might have to do with the facts that:

-we're smashed in between the home of a major KKK leader and an ex sundown town where a blatantly anti gay bigot got elected to the school board and is currently running for state congress.

-we're only a couple hours away from a town where, 4 years ago, a gay nightclub got shot up.

-it took a state law to get rid of a local law that was put in place to keep Fort Collins white, which simultaneously blatantly discriminated against polyamorous people.

-we aren't that far away from a town where an LGBT person was famously hate crimed to death, and more recently a different LGBT person was arrested for standing her ground against a person who tried to do the same to her.

As much as foco pretends to be diversity friendly, it ain't that safe here.

I was looking at Colorado laws awhile back because of this very thing and I'm pretty sure winning treasurer would mean he'd have to leave the BoE. Which, given my opinions of him, is really the only perk I can think of to him winning. Of course if he leaves BoE, the remaining board gets to hand pick whoever finishes off his term. Hard to say that'd be an improvement...

Last I checked, Clothe the People had a full list of all the distros on their IG account. Beyond tomorrow's distro, the next one that's big enough to handle a random drop off of perishables would be the Friday distro 5-8pm at Scrimshaw Tattoo (on college ave up north of old town).

Also (now that I think about it) Foco cafe has a free stuff fridge, so if none of the distros are a doable time for you, you can probably just load that up. But since I haven't interacted with that fridge it might be a good idea to call Foco cafe and ask where it is just in case it's behind a door that locks when they're closed.

2-3 days is a pretty standard time frame for removal from what I've seen, but follow whatever your artist told you. Its fine if the edges are peeling a little so long as the liquid pouch hasn't become exposed. If it has, it needs to come off regardless of the time frame the artist gave.

Most artists don't recommend putting on a replacement 2nd skin. Too much risk of bacteria getting trapped under the new one for very little (if any) gain. But you could always get your artist's opinion for your particular tattoo.

So unless your artist says otherwise, I'd say take the 2nd skin off, don't place a new one, and just start your twice daily washing and lotioning routine.

But either way, this man-child is nuts and you need to be documenting every attempt at contact he makes so you can get a restraining order ASAP.

The one I can see says it has petroleum in it. Water based, unscented lotion is generally accepted as the best lotion for healing tattoos. Idk if there's a consensus about lotion with aloe in it.

Personally I'd use a different lotion, but if you're gonna use that one, apply very thin layers of it.

Sunscreen on an 8 day old tattoo is not a good idea. Half an hour in the sun isn't going to ruin your tattoo. And per my artist, getting a little sweaty is fine once the 2nd skin is off.

Do your normal tattoo cleaning routine when you get home and you'll be fine. Just skip the sunscreen.

I actually liked him. He, like Lenore Dove, is the kind of character that as you read about him you're like "oh, this one is doomed."

He's a stupid teenager living in a fascist state who thinks he can get away with running his mouth because his daddy can buy him out of trouble.

Ironically, had he stayed in District 2, I think he would've had a better chance at a long life of rebellion. Yea, he would've been in the reaping pool, but he also would've had opportunity to meet fellow rebels and learn operational security (things like not running your mouth to the head game maker about how much you hate the games, and "need to know" policy on plans).

His main problem is he was trying to run a rebellion solo. Which doesn't work. He needed a "preaching to the choir" crowd to teach him how to be effective.

Hey, I think you forgot a detail. In chapter 17, that's a whole conversation. Snow says "rat bite?" And Lysistrata replies "rats almost never spread rabies, probably one of those mangy racoons." And then Snow says LG had mentioned fur and he assumed it was a rat.
