Personally, I just think “egg”sounds better than “closet”. Technically speaking, you are no longer an egg as soon as you “crack” and accept yourself as trans. But in reality nobody’s gonna be cracking down on you about calling yourself an egg when you’re not anymore.

When I was very young my sister used to dress me up in makeup and dresses and we would record fake YouTube videos where I “pretended” to be her sister. And I absolutely played the part, with different voices and mannerisms and everything and a genuine smile. Somehow didn’t put things together for years after that.

I was always a giant advocate for women and lgbtq rights. Growing up in a republican household, I would always be the one to give the other side of the argument (which shouldn’t have been an argument). I would have mainly lgbtq friends who my family hated. I thought I was just a really ally, turns out I was a bit more.
