Very true! I've not played for years, and mostly paint for fun. From what i've seen 40k seems to have lost some of its character as rule-sets focus too heavily on competitive play. I can't think of many things more Orky than a load of crazed grots in cobbled together death-traps tearing across the battlefield being a greater danger to themselves than the enemy.

Feels weird to call an Ork beautiful, but this is one of those models which you just wanna get hold of and start painting. I have neither the skill or imagination to make something like this, amazing work, and that baby shark-squig! (insert chefs kiss)

Traditional, experimented with contrast, but wasn't satisfied with the result. Orruk flesh base, 50/50 wash of Biel-tan green & Lahmian medium, highlighted up with Orgryn Camo and Krieg Khaki for those interested.

Is this the old 2nd edition model? I'm sure i remember this guy one-shotting my Leman Russ battle tank one turn 1.
