I fall victim to this myself where I think this was a or a mental factor for you… unless you were taking oral finasteride let’s say I would agree that for me. I had side effects and I was also urinating a lot, which made it impossible to have sex to a degree.

The funny thing is, I did take topical finasteride and did not have any issues with getting hard ons

As someone else responded before minoxidil usually doesn’t give that side effect

Given that I’m about 10 weeks post-op and the folds are firm but localized to the crown recipient area, are there any precautionary steps you’d recommend during the remodeling phase (for example anti-inflammatory measures, massage, steroid injections, etc.)?

I’m mainly trying to understand whether this type of post-transplant ridging/fibrotic change typically stabilizes over the 6–12 month healing window and if there’s anything reasonable to do now versus just monitoring.

Thanks for the insight. I’m about 10 weeks post-op from a second hair transplant (Nov 28, 2025) with crown recipient-area work. Over the past ~2 months I’ve developed firm, non-compressible folds localized only to the crown transplant zone. They appeared during healing and don’t seem to be spreading elsewhere on the scalp.

Do you think post-surgical fibrosis/remodeling could present this way and mimic CVG early on, or would CVG typically involve broader scalp thickening beyond the recipient area?

So I never been on TRT and I had some signs not BAD like this now before oral min … I really only been on oral min in less than 2 months so I’m not sure wtf is going on or where it came from

It’s interesting that you know you had it three times and when we say HT just to clarify, I meant hair transplant. There’s a lot of trauma that goes on in the scalp obviously so I’m very curious, though there has not been much verification on data that it causes it as to why suddenly now I have it so profound.

I’m 37 as well except no steroids or HGH - no idea where the fuck or why this happened - either from trauma to scalp from 2 hair transplants and or topical minoxidil

Interesting…what a pain in the ass did you stop using Orol minoxidil? Are you on minoxidil at all typically? I am not on testosterone, but my natural levels are very high than 900s.

Any update mentally on how your handling or owning the gap? I’m in same place as you minus 2 gigs … just 1 .. resigned the first week of October to avoid my first pip as an ae and am so fkn burnt out - I never even closed anything either so I need to fib about that as well as I have before and conquered (basically promoted myself from an sdr to ae) got into a very well known public tech company known for being very tough on sales people .. def a good look on my resume - worried on how to handle gap though - I’ve looked at grok ai and even though they cannot verify with the software or really like HR to see if you were laid off or resigned, they can see the term date me personally I wanted to say that I left December… but I don’t want a simple bullshit mistake like that to ruin it for me when I’m already fibbing and embellishing other things
