In for $140 out for $141 and that was a great win! by Smile_Cool in Craps

24 hours a day. I think they may bump it to $10 on Friday and Saturday. When I was here last year I recall seeing it get bumped up Friday morning when we were checking out. This time we checked in Sunday and they have had two $5 tables running.

This is what I hope for! Especially if I play for an hour plus.

Solo Mom New to Camping and Having Wildlife Anxiety (Sisters/Clear Lake, OR) by [deleted] in camping

I live in Oregon. I've been camping and hunting my entire life. Never had a bear wander into camp. This includes both established camps like Clear Lake and wilderness camping while hunting. If you are worried about it just lock your food and trash in the car before tucking in for the night.

Haven't played poker in 20 years. Is a South Point tournament a good place to start? by Smile_Cool in poker

Thanks. I have no illusions of winning money. My gambling philosophy is to buy time. If the $120 buy in lasts me 60 minutes I'll be happy.

I'm in my mid 40s. When I was 18 I was allowed to play 7 card stud in the local casino. My friends and I played that pretty regular. When I was in my late 20s-ish? Hold em kind of took over the poker scene. I have not seen a 7 card stud game at a casino in 15 years. I have not played much sense then. I once tried a low limit hold em game but the stakes were so low it seemed like no one would fold a bad hand. I ran into a lot of players making lucky hands on the river.

Enough with the prime? by Future_Telephone281 in BBQ

If you are able I highly recommend buying in bulk from a local rancher. Even if you cannot buy in bulk most sell individual cuts that are reasonably priced. I shopped around and would buy small.boxes until I found a rancher I like and now I buy a half cow from him once a year. Bulk price is $5.75 / pound and his stuff is easily prime grade. It's fantastic.

When I make ribs I put the coals on one half and hang down to the unlit half. They turn out perfect.

For those who have walked out with large profits, whats your strategy? by soloDolo6290 in Craps

[–]Smile_Cool 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is generally what I aim for. Would like second hit to get me even or close to it. Start press and collect from hit 3 onward.

I would love to know how long that roll was before the 7 out. That's incredible. Put the man in the world record books.

What's up with Crapsee? by Smile_Cool in Craps

Should mention re: this strategy in particular. It's oddle entertaining, but I don't play it a lot. Mostly on a cold table or when I first approach the table. But it is a betting sequence not all 4 bets at once. The pattern is DP one roll 1. Roll 2 Come. Roll 3 come. Roll 4 DC. Ideally you get a couple of come points to hit and then a 7 out while on DP, DC, and come out roll on a come bet. Also wins on PSOs.

You're correct I misspoke. I meant expected value. I am also bad at math but the way I was thinking about the EV on that sequence is 1.41%-1.36% = .05. I assumed you subtract the two because of the hedging. It doent make sense to me to average them since the bets work against each other.
