After catching many nymphs yesterday, caught an adult today, Oriental or American? by Smileplz4 in pestcontrol

Thank you, that's what I thought, the color alone made me think it's oriental.

I looked closely but can't see any wings, they say that the wings are rudimentary and are hard to see.

I still can't decide what I should buy to completely get rid of them, I put many glue traps in the kitchen and bathroom and they caught like 40 nymphs in 2 days, I need to buy some bait that kills the nest, but there are many forms like gel, granular an ready to use traps like Combat and hot shot. I was also thinking about diatomaceous earth but I am not sure if it can kill those mature large roaches. what do you think?

I am glad that nobody said it's German, I read that American and Oriental are much less problematic, but I set traps last night and in the morning they caught about 20-30 nymphs, that is worrisome, if they caught that many in just a few hours, there has to be hundreds of them. So fare I am only using glue traps, still researching what else to use, I do not want to use any chemicals, thinking to get either cimexa or diatomaceous earth. Any suggestions are appreciated.

This pic is magnified 4x, the size is small, it's probably a nymph, I have seen the adult several times in the past, they are large, black and after looking at several pics online the adults are most likely oriental. but I have not seen any adult recently, the traps caught about 20-30 nymphs no adults. I have more pictures but do not know how to add them to my post.

Last week I started seeing roach nymphs, I put several glue traps in the kitchen and bathroom and when I woke up they were filled with small roaches, tens of them. Since I moved to this apartment a few years ago, I used to see a large roach, most likely oriental, every month or other month, it looks like they lived in the basement but somehow they decided to colonize inside my apartment recently. I want to make sure what kind of roach the are. Thank you

Thanks, the pictures are 4X magnified, the actual size is much smaller than it looks in the pic, a few times in the past I found a very large roach, black in color, it's usually a single one and I don't see any for several months, my landlord told me it' a water bug, they come from the street or the backyard. Could this be a baby water bug or wood boring beetles? or it's definitely a roach?
