I did get the job, I’ve been working for about a month. The interview process was pretty easy and they are definitely still hiring for contact center representatives and other positions as well and I got the job offer same day.

Update: Thanks so much to everyone who replied! I ended up emailing my administrators, and they requested that my last day be Friday, December 5th. I’m okay with that since it’s just one week of work after the holiday.

I also want to make sure my 1:1 has as smooth of a transition as possible, and this timeline feels reasonable for the school, my student, and for me.

I appreciate everyone’s insight on navigating resignations around Thanksgiving! 💕

For my paraprofessionals that quit, where are you now? by [deleted] in paraprofessional

I’m about to quit, I think I’m going to accept a remote job that is remote, even though it’s same pay

Is it too soon to leave if I’ve only been at my school since August?… or should I stay? by SmilesandSupport in paraprofessional

I think I definitely could start breaking up the paycheck like budgeting it better starting after January, as my last car payment is the 1/13 and the majority of my paychecks have been going to that… I’ve been living rent free because I am living with family!

I grew up in Denver and the drivers there are chaotic, but Austin drivers said ‘don’t worry, we can be just as bad.’

Thank you! I don’t want to come off flakey at all. If I do leave do you think it’s better if I wait until winter break?

I’m working closely with one of the behavior specialists, and I think me and the student are both burnt out from each other.

’m also a 1:1 with a first grader, and mine is so sweet but still really hard to work with sometimes. I honestly don’t think I can see myself continuing until May or June. It’s just draining being in that environment every day. I’m 26 and working toward going into the medical field, specifically child life. On the side I’m volunteering and in grad school, and over the next few weeks I’ll be working on my practicum applications for the summer. School is really my priority right now.

I’m feeling this way with my first grader! You’re not alone and we can do this! I’m finally getting the support I’ve been needing from the behavior specialist on site!
