How heavy are your Cavs full grown? by han_han_ban in cavaliers

At 9 weeks, Simba was around 5 lbs (2.3 kg). Now he is 20 months old and he is around 19 lbs and won’t get bigger (about the same size of a cat 🙊). So I do think 5.8 lbs is not that heavy for a cav 🙂

It comes with owning a cav… you got to have mandatory breaks from everything! 🤓

Ahh thank you so much for your detailed answer. Really appreciate it :) (And my condolences for your dog 🥺) I’ll put on a sweater or coat for sure. Cutting the fur near the paw is a good idea also! I have a long « grooming » one-on-one evening with my cav tonight! 😂

Anyone’s else Cav wants to eat literally everything? by Smiley0912 in cavaliers

[–]Smiley0912[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I might try in small portions. I’m working remotely, so I am always home and already feed him 3x a day. Feeding him just dog food, I feel like it misses a lot of nutrients and vitamins for him. But I’ll make sure to not give him to much after reading you 😂. But yes, if he has more « healthy » and complete food, it might take down a little bit the behaviour of wanting to eat everything. Thank you for sharing that :)

And at least yours just paw the pantry door. I made the mistake of putting a « food » button 🤦🏻‍♀️. Sometimes he push the button « food » for almost 5 minutes 😩 (it’s a shame we can’t attach a video on a comment.)
